Had no trouble finding coilovers. got some jic's on their way from japan as we speak :)

Don't you need power to drift properly?

More than 153Kw?

Its enough if the car is light enough...

Corolla Ae82 prime example... Most have less than 100hp at the fly wheel...

When I was in Japan I saw a bunch of IS250's drifting, most were manual which stupid suspension and that's about it...

They just put camber kits on them and dumped them while some changed the hand brake to a pull type, nothing flash...

People took FWD Civic's to the drifts, dont see the point but hey each to their own i guess...

All manual IS250's have a pull type handbrake from factory.

Its only the auto IS250's that have a foot type park(hand) brake.

after my mates builds me my full exahust and i get my induction sorted im estimating ill make upwards from 200hp at the wheels which is quite enough. in japan i seen absolute stock r32's, laurels and a few other sedans slide with and if not less than 200hp. with the car setup suspension wise and a decent lsd i wont have a problem. i have to wait till 2012 after the warrenty runs out before im going to twin turbo it.

So if anyone has any info on a mechanical 2way diff let me know.

thanks

well u can really drift anything

an lsd will not instantly make your car drift it'll help

i can keep my is250 sideways for a long time but only in the wet

the main thing with this car is the power output we dont have enough torque compared to the weight we have

little skids and power slies are possible

but in the dry long drifts are virtually impossible

that chaser would have double the torque we got

or maybe even 2.5 times lol

lexus is250 Output is 215 PS (158 kW; 212 hp) at 6,400 RPM (260 N·m; 192 ft·lbf) at 3,800 RPM

opposed to

208kw/280 hp @ 6200 rpm

378 Nm @ 2400 rpm

not exactly double, when my system goes on i should pick up heaps more torque.

hm.. ill be really intrested if you pick up heaps more torque

id say youll pick up max 10nm atw with an fully awsome system

it just wont happen mate..

naturally aspriated cars dont make torque unless it's big displacement

for your mates chaser

your mates car is modded

freeing up the exhaust and such would do wonders on a turbo car

he would have done the basic mods

which would be boost intake and exhaust

by getting rid of the factory restictions it'll be fair to say your mates car will be producing more than the factory figures

if u wanna drift u need more torque and power

N/A vs Turbo

his power band would be much agressive than ours

where ours is linear and turbo cars will have a on boost power curve which will rocket up

but being a 1jz it's still have good off boost driveability

for examply my evo

stock 163kw atw

then i added exhaust boost and intake and a tune (reflash)

200kwatw easy as that

a gtr will have around 190kw at the rear wheel (stock) with a healthy motor and turbo

freeing up the turbo's (exhaust intake etc) will get it around 260kw at the rear wheel

now for us Is250's

Exhaust! Headers + CAT + Mid pipe + axle back

Intake! SRI or CAI

thast the most we can do on our cars

from all that id say around 2K for your system

and another 300ish for your intake

youll get max 160kw at the engine

sad but thats the truth N/A is hard to get power out of

theres no replacement for displacement
