Hi, i have a 2006 is250 sports luxury & my headlights are starting to play up.

I took it to the Lexus Dealership for a service & they told me that to replace the bulb only,

its gonna cost $432 for the part only because its a special type of light bulb.

I know i can get it somewhere else cheaper but i just want to know if the aftermarket ones will

have the same brightness/colour as the genuine one?

Also, does anyone know where i can get them from?

Thank you very much in advance! :)

is it a hid headlight? u can just get it from ebay.. anything between 4300k-5000k temperature bulb will give u the same colour. unless its ur ballast playing up.. then buy a ballasts as well.

here is a list of all the sizes of bulbs on our cars: http://www.lexusautosports.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=49

Yes it is the hid headlight. i'll have to swap the bulbs around to make sure that its just the bulb thats the problem.

It seems pretty difficult to get to those bulbs though. I'll see how i go.

Thanks heaps for your help! :)

hi, yeh i took off the engine covers today (for the first time) & noticed that its not like a honda where there is easy access.

i have no chance getting my hands through that small gap.

i'm guessing the best way to do this is to remove the headlight & bumper? if so, thats beyond my ability.

i guess i'll need to get a professional to do this for me!

nope. you dont have to remove the headlight or the bumper.

on the drivers side you need to remove the airbox and you can get strait to it. on the passenger side the only thing you can remove is the windscreen bottle filler by just pulling on it.

once you have done this . . . access granted.
