  4. My 2012 IS350 was normally getting 15.8-16 L per 100kms this was 100% inner city Sydney driving with no highways. Max speed about 70kms and heaps on traffic..
  5. I would select an aftermarket upgrade that is a filter within a sealed box, like the F Sport. I have this on my IS350, the increase in diameter on the cold air intake vs. stock makes a big difference. I did monitor using ODII scan tool to read OEM setup for airflow off the MAF sensor and compared after the install of F Sport intake & K&N highflow filter. The numbers did jump, now does this translate into Kw gain, not sure because I didn't dyno before or after. Lexus claim 2-3HP gain, nothing to write home about. In short an intake will not massively change much in the car other than aesthetics and sound.... Hey $600-$800 for a good looking car, is worth it!!!
  6. Decent figures you are both achieving , assuming quoted numbers are 100% balls to the wall driving, but every now and then opening up the throttle to redline. The 2UR in RCF has Atkinson/Otto cycle that is claimed to make it more efficient. What is surprising is 2UR in ISF or RCF is more economical than a 2GR in IS/RC 350.

  12. Did u use of claim anything that need to be fixed over the 2 years? I have played the game of shelling out cash on Lexus extended on my IS350 for 3 years, the only things that went wrong were wear parts so couldn’t claim. Waste of cash for a piece of mind.
  13. Current 57k and I drive about 5-10kms per year, so not a lot of driving. Maybe one track day a year. What year model was your ISF? Never used it at all?
  14. Hi, I have purchased a 2015 RCF from a Lexus dealership pre-owned. The factory warranty is 4 years default, because this car was purchase and traded in at a Lexus dealer, there is an opportunity to buy extended warranty. The cost is a flat fee of $1,770 AUD for 3 years and maximum 150,000 kms. Do you think it is worth it? I purchased extended warranty on my IS350, and over 3 years didn’t claim anything, considering the RCF has much more tech, not sure if I should do it? I was told extended warranty can only be purchase before I take delivery of the car. Thanks

  19. Sorry, I wouldn't, it would cost me $2,000 in labour to get the header out, the wheel I would consider selling provided you can swap your wheels. What do you have and how is the tyres on them? Are you Sydney based?

  21. Hi, I drive 2012 350 F Sport with full bolt ons. I have owned my car for 7 years and have the 7 year itch and plan to buy an F model (ISF or RCF) early in 2020. I am leaning towards an RCF. I have been monitoring on Carsales/Cars Guide ISF & RCF's nationally (I am NSW based) and have noticed one thing, all vehicle in on the market for a long time, with a large number of sellers consistently lowering prices marginally. In all ISF cases the asking price is higher than Redbook evaluation. I understand reasons being the F model and imposed "brotax" that is the reason why I want to purchase an RCF. The usual conversation with seller is, hi thanks for the call, this vehicle has a high level of interest.... I believe there is a high level of interest in the vehicles but as the ISF & RCF are valued too high by sellers, prospective buyers are reluctant to buy at these prices, its a stand off. The ISF's "brotax" is significantly higher than the RCF's with a 2014 RCF only costing more than $8,000-$10k than 2010 ISF's, crazy! What do you think is driving this, and what is your advice for me the pick up a better deal on a RCF?

  24. Yes, thanks again.. I am itching to buy a ISF or RCF in the next 2 years, just need to enjoy my IS for a few more years. When I trade up, if ISF is the choice I will target minimum 2012 upwards. I know Lexus' and ever more so ISF engine and gearbox can take a beating with several hundred 000 on the dial.. good idea for piece of mind, get a Lexus dealership o give it the once over... 300kw at wheels sound right, jump on to RR Racing and u will see dyno results with similar set up to u. So sounds about right... ISF will go down as a cult car similar to GTR etc, prices are trending down but eventually a time will come when prices go the other way, when they become more rare and then "bro tax" comes into play....
  25. That is such a good series of events to secure a car that is in top conditions with Lexus fitted quality aftermarket bolt-ons... I hope I can replicate this series of event when I decide to get into the market for an ISF. I want do it just yet, not for the lack of money but more so because I still love my IS350 and don't want to let it go just yet.... Did you get someone to look over the car, or you did it all yourself? ISF are good cars, all ISX are, I have seen YouTube clips of stock ISX with almost 200,000 kms that are spinning the factory quoted numbers! Amazing.... Once you settle in on the power and the drive, I suggest jumping on RR Racing website and look at purchasing a flash tune for the ISF..
