What is want to do is change my oil at avery 5000K, and at the major services that i need to take to the dealers, i would give them the oil that i have been using. Needless to say i would not tell them that i have been changing oils at 5000ks. Do you think they would approve to the oil i give them? I want to actually see them change my oil too,

I would not be happy with them giving the car back in such state, did they took the car when it was already low on fuel? Either way i think they should either tell you before they took your car that there might be a cost inccurred when they return the car due to refuelling (refuelling cost), or they could just put some in as part of a good gesture.

I'm not certain whether mine rattles there. My rattles are near the glove box or on the top left dash or around the left door speakers areas. Where are you located, and where did u get your car from? I just had my first refueling since i bought the car, i might leave it for a little longer b4 going back to the dealers.

How much did you pay for the wheels and tyres? The dealer told me that only a couple of tyre makers (Brands) have the specs that would fit the lexus 18s. True or false?

The only time i wasnt able to close my sunroof was when i forgot to close it when i turned off the engine (no this i not the part lol). I turn on the engine and could only close it by first turning the dial to open it and then turning the dial to close it. Not sure if this is a fault or the way it works?

I think dunlops are better than Bridgstone. Was never a fan of Bridestone. What is the ride like on 18s, does it feel heavier etc. I am looking to go 18s at my next tyre change.

Did you take note fo the lent Is250? Any differences to your one? As for extra oil. Do you do your own oil change or something?

What tyres are you using at the moment? I still got what's from the dealers (Bridgestone Potenza RE030 - 16s) and i notice they are a little noisy. Does anyone have something different?

lol about the original sales dude. Being a customer i recon they should give you more respect than that. I would have a ago at whoever that had ago at my son...

Don't forget BMW costs more to start with and so resales value would depend also on the original prices. At the moement there are heaps of bmw on for sale compare to the lexus. I recon prices will drop alot for BMWs due to over-supply (more than demand).

Thanks Rap03. I don't know why the dealers in Sydney don't advertise lexus assessories. They should in my opinioin. Getting things from overseas and interstate is a pain especially if you need to returrn them or whatever. What accessories have you got for your car?

I'm amazed to know that insurance is more for the is250 (even compare to 323i). For me it's $15/month extra. Recent NRMA test (with Lexus Is250 being the best prestige car for 2006) shows the depreciation is more for BMW than is Lexus. http://www.australiasbestcars.com.au/2006/2006_prestige.pdf

I had a thought of getting the SL but it was sooo over my budget. Sports model does not have full leather seats so that was a setback for me as i wanted leather. Given the price of the Prestige i think i'm happy with it, althought if i do have the money, i might buy the SL. Oh and just an advice, think twice about the colour. Colours play a big part in highlighting a car and being Lexus (luxurious and prestigious) and you would to make the right choice.

Yep, shipping wise. I wasnt able to wait for another 3 months so i bought a 11/2006 make.
