I forget whether the larger the offet the more it sticks outward or inwards but i would think rubbing the guards would highly depend on the offset. By the way the placards has the 18s with 8.0" wide both F & R.

I used to have the 7500K PIAA H4 on my 1997 Prelude and they seem to do the trick. Didnt blow on me and i had them for 18months or so. with the white-blue tinge, the brightness diminishes abit but it does give that bluey color which i was after. The bulbs costed abit though and i got them brought over from Japan. Now, im not sure what to get as i don't know what is on offering nor where to get them. I don't mind them blowing so long as they don't burn the harneses.

In the manual it states that there is a third piece to the key that you get with the IS250. The fob has the detachable key and there is a little plate like piece. Does anyone have this plate like piece (which i assume is used to manually open the door)?

Why did you feel you need to do these things as such an early stage? I doubt you can make any differences.

Just do a couple of changes in short period and that should do it. For the coolant, there is a prcocess of actually flushing things out, just read around.

That's just changing the oil. I don't think that's flushing.

I know what you mean now, courtesy of your thread on the other site. Interesting to know. If the scoop is directly behind the plastic bit then i think removing it would be beneficial. What you can do is saw off some of the plastic, the size of the scoop openning so as to allow direct air flow into the scoop.

I don't think you need to flush anything just yet. Everything that has been filled up are all geniune fluids. I would leave things as is but if you really want to do it, do the engine oil (leave the coolant alone). With engine oil, i'm assuming you want to change to Mobil 1 or equivalent which would be 5-30W, this is the recommended spec and is what should be in your car now... i recon a normal oil and filter change should be enough. If you're pandentic, do the oil change now and do it again in a couple of weeks time, just to flush out the initial oil. Remember to read the manuals before doing anything.

The only thing i can think of that may differ is the part number. US have different number reference to AU.

I'm gonna set aside some time and get my bulbs replaced. I think turbo spares in Cab or that place in Para (Church St.) should have the bulbs. So where are the pics of your new car?

You've confirmed about the 18" as i rang the RTA and they said you can go 1" wider taken from the largest wheel options available for the model but it needs to be stated on the placards (i think the placard lists all three sizes). As for HIDs, i think it would be too expensive to go with oem and so HID will be out of the question for me. Will need to just buy better replacement bulbs.

Hey what's the chance of you getting the kit? If you are getting it done at the shops, i might too. Let me know ok. Also i noticed you have the Prestige and have 18x8" on, have you confirm with the RTA that you can have these cos the Prestige is only 16x6.5 ? i'm thinking of getting wheels but worried that it's not allowed.

I suppose one way to find out is to ring your sale rep. But yeh, i'm in the process of either spending 300-400 bucks for the Hids or a 50-100 bucks bulb replacements.

Does it void the warranty if you install aftermarket Hids? I heard to be legal you need the waterjet sprayer install also? Is someone is in Sydney and is getting their Hids done, let me know so i can come and see how it is, thanks.

I'm not sure if the PP that you can get thru the dealers when you buy a new car is the same as what you are thinking of? Some makes like Honda/Toyota do have this as an option before they handled the car over to you.

Not sure if anyone experienced this, but when i floored the car/accelerator, afterwards there is this rotten egg/sulphurous smell coming from the vetns. It has to tbe the vents cos my windows were up. Anyone got any explaination on this?

Does anyone ordered their car with this option? I just want to know how it compare to non paint protection. Also you can get it applied at anytime but i'm not sure how much it costs? is it worth it?

Your best bet at this stage is to look oversea for them. Might want to speak to the dealers to see if they can help too. For me, i'd rather use the money on other things. I'm happy with just a HID-bulb replacement in mine.

What is the actual offset of the sports oem 18"?
