  1. I was thinking about 19s as i think some designs look smaller than others. The other style i like is the Lenso Konvex, and are available in 19s. They look similar to oem too but at a fraction of the price i'm sure. http://www.ozzytyres.com.au/page.php?load=...&mag_id=181
  2. That's ashame cos i think this wheels would suit our cars nicely. I would triple check to see if it's possible cos they're only 18s. Ask if you can just put the rim on (without tires) and see if there is any chance of it fitting. My financial department is closed at the moment (unfortunately) and i'm not sure when it will be open again, so i guess it's up to you to REALLY research this.
  3. I'm quite paranoid when it comes to people handling my car when i'm not there. I made a decision that i would only give the car in once, and if they cannot fix it for whatever reasons then it's up to me to try. The ratttles i don't feel are a major disspointment in the car. I bought the Lexus for the luxury, inclusion and good brand. I honestly cannot think of any car dollar for dollar that could rival the IS250. That said, so long as i have what i bought the car for (and not what it's not for) then i'm ok with it. You went to buy the Lexus with the same mindset as me (and others here) i'm sure. That mindset would have been among other things, the fact that Lexus is in the same class as BMW and Mercs and you end up choosing Lexus because somewhere in the back of your mind you feel that it's from Japan make and you would know that generally what's from Japan represents value for money, realiability and high quality, if not from day one, in years to come. I don't know what owning a BMW or Merc would have been but i'm sure they have their own issues as with most cars. There has not been one person i know who owns a Merc says it's brilliant, it's simply is not from quality built to mechanical (very underpowered). As for Mazda, Subaru and Honda, i'm sure they are not in the same class as Lexus in many areas. Keep us posted as to what you have decided to get, i'm keen to hear your thoughts about it.
  4. Does anyone know where to get 5w-30 Mobil 1 oil? I can only find 10w-30?
  5. Just a word about it. I got my car back from the dealer on this issue and they weren't able to get rid of it even after i showed them the fix from the US site. What i notice from self openning the side of the dash was the inside was a little different so i wasnt able to follow exactly what the US guys did. From diagnosing i was able to make the buzzing sound from thumbing on top of the dash near the vents. I then realise by securing the dash with my fingers pushing it down and away from the windscreen i was able to silent the buzzing while thumping on top. It would be inhuman to have someone hold the dash all the time so i got a long black cloth and jam inbetween the dash and the windscreen, with a phillip screw driver pushing the cloth right in so it's not visible and went for a test drive, sound is gone!!!!! So guys, all there is to do is get enough foaming inbetween the dash and windscreen and it's fixed. No need to go to the dealers for the dash buzzing/rattles near the vents.
  6. I can't remember but i think the higher the number the less it'll stick out.
  7. I dont understand why they need to lubricate anything, it's insulation issue. Did they say they removed the whole dashboard? Btw, thanks for the photos, did you buy your car new? and is the refund offered by them as they could not fix your car or did u want to "sell" it back to them?
  8. Well i got my car back from the dealer this arvo and the buzzling sound is still there. Before i take it bad a second time i will try and fix it myself this Holiday Friday. Somehow i didnt think the dealer did a good enough job. I am not keen in handing in my car unecessarily. Keep you posted on the DIY fix.
  9. I too was at a BMW the day i bought my lexus. Test drove the 320i and i was deadset dissappointed in the performance, interior design (very plasticness), quality of the leather seats and level of inclusions. Basically a corolla would have been better to sit in than the BMW. The 325 has the 6 cyclinder but you're sitting in the same 320i. I would have chosen the e46 coupe but the car is at it's end so that wasn't an option. Getting back to the lexus, i got my car back this arvo and the rattles are still there (but you only hear it when you're your not listenning to music and i always listen to music so it's liveable) BUT i'm sure they have not done the fix fully. I will attempt the fix myself. For what it's worth i recon the lexus is the best bang for your bucks, spend 60K on a lexus or 80K on a 325, i think i'll save the 20K towards my next car.
  10. Sorry to hear your dissappointment. Here is my email, please email me the pics (tell me in the email what dealer you went thru with the services) juxtintt@hotmail.com I am giving in my car tommorow for the dash rattle which is the only issue i have right now. I hope they fix it. I didn't go thru finance so i wouldnt think i could get a refund... What is your next car?
  11. Got the price down to $1600 (18s with Dunlop Sports tyres). Should i?
  12. I would love to drop her but i feel two things will set me back from doing it. 1) Warranty % insurance 2) My co-driver who happens to drive more than me and she already scrapped underneath from stock.
  13. Nice work. I envy you with having 6 hours free time to do it. I work 7 days and only got an hour of so on Sat to wash the car...
  14. Will do. Also do you think i should get 19s? With thinner tyres i recon the rolling diameter can be the same.
  15. Do you know if any lexus recommended mechanics that can do the servicing and not void the warranty?
  16. I got quoted $1899 at BeaueRepairs for the CSA Dominator 18s package. Does anyone know if it;s a good price and what sorta tyres does BeaueRepairs give to go with the wheels? The wheels looks exactly like this and my car is silver too ...
  17. Yeh they do. I suppose you have to take the good with the bad. I'm was thinking of creating an ozzy only lexus forum but what's the point.
  18. Im pretty sure i tried that but it didnt beep.
  19. Does anyone know how to store stations in memory?
  20. What you find in those communities are alot of drivers are hoons. Obvious if you buy a lexus you're in it not to drag cars but to enjoy comfort, class and prestige etc. Much like BMW and other expensive brands.
  21. HB3/9005/HB4/9006 - 55W>110W (SUPER PLASMA GT-X 6000K) http://www.hitechimportlighting.com/piaa.htm Not sure if they have 7500K in these types.
  22. Yeah sure mate, I will be in Japan by 15th April and will also be visiting Hong Kong on the way back to Sydney, so could possibly look at what Hong Kong offers if Japan is too expensive (which most Japanese goods are). Make sure you get the right type of bulbs. Let me know how much the xenon and fog bulbs cost. Thanks.
  23. So that's why we only get the remotes.
  24. When they say 1" greater, they meant 1" wider in the width, some insurers also restrict to 1" larger in diameter. You can get any size (19, 20 etc) so long as the width is no more than 1" wider than the stocks to be approved by the RTA. NRMA insurance will approve anything RTA approve.
  25. Do some research, brands like Nokya, Raybrig also offer good bulbs. Do you think you can let me know once your're there, cos i'd love a set :)
