  1. I get 9-10L per 100 and down to 6.5 on long freeway trips. Hilly country and a heavy foot might account for the difference :)
  2. Here is the Vizage front/side view in black. It's a good look! It is not so wild when in black. The front is very Mad Max if thats the look you are after. I have attached the softer WALD version for comparison. wattaya all think??
  3. The kit has style elements from the WALD Executive kit, the flared front, straight rails with scoop outs and twin exhaust tail apron. It is a bit boxier and "in your face" especially the front. I think there are kits that fit the curves of the car better than this one, but it is one of the better head turner kits I have seen. I understand why you are considering it, in black it would soften and be less obvious. Why dont you photoshop the pics you have to black and ask for a second opinion???
  4. Hey, that's my car on the Hume every morning! Nothing special, I fitted a WALD Executive full body kit, front+sides+rear and clear LED tail lights. I also fitted an upper and lower billet grille and the usual white LED's internally. My tyres are almost worn out so I want to buy continental Extreme Contact DW's and good white rims. Yeah, white, and I can already hear the howls going up. That's why I hide in the shadows every time the Lexus Style Police have a meet and photoshoot.... Maybe I should bring my other Lexus, the Lexus of Euro bikes anyway (see pic). A Suzuki Burgman 650 with five speed electronic transmission, electronic windscreen, folding mirrors, heated seats, heated handlebars, cruise, ABS, digital dash, a bit cramped in the back seat. Sound familiar. I have to get out of the cage every so often so I can almost feel the wind in my face :))
  5. So Col, Now u luv your car again? The SL was a cutting edge car when it came out a few years ago, many are still catching up. I luv the radar for hitching a free ride to the car in front. It's about the combination of your car and your Lexus Dealer to make for the total experience, sounds like you have a good dealer.
  6. Are you crazy?! The rare birds eye maple is one of the uber quality parts of the car. Why would you tone it down? It's REAL WOOD hand crafted, with matching door trims. We won't get wood in cars for much longer......... that my 2 cents worth
  7. 1 and 2 are less busy and catch the profile. I personally think that small and discrete is the way to go. Only other Lexus owners will look and recognise the club membership, a bit like the "fish" graphic that some christians use, small cryptic but powerful...... There is probably a bit more designing to go yet...... :)
  8. sorry for multiple responses, I got a bit excited looking at my car photo
  9. Not the best photo but, the clear lenses look like this, on top of a WALD body kit :)) I like it!
  10. The wheels are a good look! Lets see them on the car What did you do to get the LED tails working? Did you put in a load capacitor?
  11. dumb question, if they are still available.........I have low beam HID on my sprt lux, are these high or low beams?
  12. Yeah, I get the same problem randomly. I reboot the car! to fix it
  13. I have the WALD Executive body kit on a pearl white 08 sport/lux, imported from USA. It changes the whole look of the car. here is the link; http://www.jonari.com/brand.php?bid=1&...&modelid=88
  14. Hey Markz, I haven't had the luck you have had. Can you send me the wiring diagram to show where you put the resistors please and/or a photo ?? You bought the same lights I did. QQQ gave up too easily ! I like the lights and still want to instal them..... Natroth
  15. Hey, Nam Electronics can provide and instal the video adapter for IS 250 as well as override DVD, GPS and phone restrictions Nam Electronic Services391 Enmore Rd, Marrickville, NSW 2204 p: (02) 9569 6243
  16. Nam Electronics at Marrickville, Sydney 9550 4144. It will cost you around $300 but the telephone, DVD and GPS will work while rolling, a practical upgrade....
  17. Hey Hamish, Nam Electronics at Marrickville, Sydney 9550 4144. It will cost you around $300 but the telephone, DVD and GPS will work while rolling, a practical upgrade....
  18. Thanks for the GPS electronics lesson Korvan, now i also understand why flicking the switch doesn't work so well at freeway speeds :)
  19. I replied to your message, yes it was NAM Electronics in Sydney and they did a great job. They installed a micro switch inside the ashtray to allow use of the GPS features when rolling but all the other functions (DVD playing & telephone features) work without using the switch. I do not fully understand the reason for the switch but the job was inexpensive and everything works when rolling. The workmanship was also excellent which was VERY IMPORTANT.
  20. Hey, I get my IS 250 polished at Meguiars Seven Hills evey 6 mths. They are very good at what they do.
  21. I paid $300 for a Sydney based tech to do my hack. I got DVD playing, use of phone and GPS address logging on the go, plus warranty. I thought it was worth it to not short circuit the car myself. Everything works great. The phone is really handy as is putting in addresses for the GPS whilst rolling. Watching DVD's whilst rolling is fun but a bit illegal.......
