  1. Yeah, they're not too bad at all. Still, other priorities at the moment... heh. :D
  2. Sorry, should have looked at your garage entry first - $500. Not bad...
  3. Is it generally advised to 'upgrade' the clutch at the same as the flywheel, zee? Also, what kind of cost's involved, David - I'm very interested in any mod that's going to improve the low end markedly. How would you rate the amount of improvement from the lightened flywheel versus other typical low-end-improving mods, e.g. your HKS RS/heatshield and Blitz exhaust?
  4. No offense meant to anyone - but I think they look ugggly! (sorry, couldn't resist...)
  5. Yeah, it's the C-West one - one of my favourites you can get for the tezzas/is200s/is300s. The only thing I miss are the fog lights! :D The rims are 18" bronze Yokohama AVS Model5s. Glad you guys think the plate is funny - it's all about giving people a laugh. :D What do the aero wing mirrors look like Jase? And funny you mention about the rest of the kit - I don't actually like the rest of the C-West kit that much somehow, reeks a bit too much of Veilside for me. :D I promise you Keith, it's being well cared for! *hugs car*
  6. I think it was the same problem as with avatars - any kind of direct uploading wasn't working for me. WIll have another go tonight :-]
  7. I'll take a photo at some point and show you guys - haven't got around to interior photos just yet!
  8. Hmm, finally got some pics of the car, in a nice clean state! Plans - looking for feedback on these: - Better alarm and stereo - Cold air box/heatshield, possible ram intake, depending on cost - Front tints - Exhaust - ... not sure after that! Kudos to Matt! :P Thoughts guys? If you check my garage entry, a few things have already been done to the car, but I'm still keen to keep the project going! Given the lacklustre lowend, the heatshield and exhaust are my primary two, after alarm stereo upgrade :-]
  9. Oh, stink - not what I thought they were! Sorry, I have a shiny but useless GPS system that goes there :P I'm missing whatever it is that goes UNDER the stock head units! Not even sure what you call that part... but mine is missing. :-o I have a gap.....
  10. Oh, duh. My suggestions aren't NZ/AUS independent? Well, you'd only have to change the URLs then for a different run... :D
  11. I definitely think simple is better - less words the better. Focus around the URL/logo if possible (Can you get the top left logo on the forums, but with nz.lexusownersclub.com underneath perhaps?) And rather than a sentence, maybe bullet points (with alternating Lexus and Toyota symbols as the bullets, perhaps?) with * Information & advice * Club outings * Group buy discounts * Lexus, Altezza, Soarer, equivalent owners - all welcome! * [Japanese txt] Do you think the phone numbers are needed? Not meaning to rain on your parade at all, but it might look more professional if it just had a single contact email of info@nz.lexusownersclub.com (or something). Would help to reduce clutter. Def needs a prominent pic of a cool Lexus or Altezza too. *nods* just my 2c. :D
  12. I think you've sold me guys! Trust it is, insurance willing. *nods* So can frylai get them cheap too, or is $695 the reasonable fitted rate? :D What are your thoughts on piping, were I to go cat back, or extractors back? Or is there not really much to be gaining in doing that unless I put aftermarket extractors on?
  13. Yeah, still screwed for me too. I just change my avatar by uploading it to some webspace I have - that method of changing it still works. BUt that doesn't help for uploading to the gallery, alas!
  14. Wow, dude, that looks wicked - good to see you around here :D So you're saying I can crank mine lower? How hard have you got your setup? Mine is pretty blimen stiff, and the tires are millimetres from rubbing at the front at full lock. I however have front lip problems already, so maybe I don't want to go lower! Could be that mine are 225 at the front though I guess. Perhaps that's a good reason to drop 10mm at the next tyre change! :D
  15. Have you got a pic? Excuse what may be a dumb question, but it might be what I'm looking for.... (even though I do have a JDM Altezza!)
  16. So that's $695, cat-back? Interesting. And not bad either - do you remember the cost of the HKS one, and any difference (that you know of) in sound? It is "Silent hyper" after all... Trying to decide currently what to do with mine, whether to do the extractors and go right to the back, and replace cat with resonator or what... not so sure whether removing the cat is wise if new emissions laws come in either. Decisions, decisions... :D
  17. Excuse possible ignorance - but did you do the extractors as well?
  18. Conveniently, stephenc just posted some pics of the smoked headlamps in this thread: http://nz.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...st=0entry4800
  19. Yeah, same for me and a few others - I've got no idea. I've tried a variety of ways on different PCs and can't get it to work...
  20. I think most people have had problems with headlights leaking to one degree or another. One of mine, for example, has a whole lot of silicon sealant gunk around it to improve the seal... I believe some people have taken the headlights out and drilled a hole underneath to drain water out, and just gunked it up in general. I would hazard that an auto-electric specialist will just tell you you need a new light, and a mechanic will either say that or gunk it up :D
  21. More information and specs on the Altezzas (heaps of other models here too): http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/altezza/
  22. Don't suppose you could be coaxed to sell that interior dash holder separately, ah? :P Looks like a good deal to me, incidentally.
  23. Well, I'll believe it when I see it for NZ anyway! I'm sure I came across a place in Australia that was doing them in the course of my searches.... hmmm.
  24. Did a little bit more hunting: SAFC Wiring diagram: http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocumentat...s_safc_wire.pdf SAFC Manual: http://www.apexi-usa.com/productdocumentat...cs_safc_ins.pdf And others at http://www.apexi-usa.com/documentation.asp The Altezzas don't seem to be on the SAFC1 lists but maybe you can work it out from a combination of the two wiring diagrams?
  25. On the 1G-FE there is water temperature, battery and fuel consumption gauges. On the 3S-GE, there is water temperature, battery and oil pressure level (hence the symbol with the oil can and the drip). This is straight from the manual. :-]
