  2. hey man, you gonna put up any pics of your phat ride with the new mags....................
  3. are you talking about the radar detector! That was just there one day, not sure how it got there or what exactly it does!!!! haha Yeah, not the most stealth of places to have it but definately the best for viewing, only lucky that wev'e got six cars for pretty much 3 drivers so don't have to drive my car if don't want to!!!, although I usally do for obvious reasons any how....... cheers........ Hayden
  4. took about an hour, I will put a picture up under members cars etc, mounted it using the Apexi bracket which I think costs aroun $45, got it installed proffessionally which took around an hour, dont think its to hard , just need to understand the Japanese instructions I would think, you can find out more infromation at the Apexi website, including downloadable pdf file on it not best photo but anyways..... Apexi picture link
  5. for $550 nz including install , you can get the Apexi RSM with the extra G-force meter for better accuracy and monitoring. Thats what i got but I wanted it mostly for show. I think the Apexi is better value but as you say the G-force meter is plug and play also the Apexi shows engine power in kw or horse power, eliminates the speed cut, bat voltage etc
  6. I always seem to be advertising these guys, but ST HI Tec, located at Gate 5 Nuffield Street in New Market would probably be your best bet as he sells alot of Apexi meters and installs them pretty quick due to his experience. There number is 09 523 5333, he is an asian guy and really knows his stuff. Don't know how to spell his name but its Souchie or something simliar. You know that the Apexi also holds your top three records which you can save or delete to prove to people you figures, You'd be stoked with one as they do so many cool little tricks. cheers..... Hayden P.S , If your cars faster buy much, it will mean war ....haha
  7. I just got a 0 - 100 time of 7.13 for the (3S-GE), with subs and a *BLEEP*ty clutch, looking for some 6 second figures in the near future plus some mods. Pretty stoked with that as I thought it would be late 7's cheers.......
  8. One thing I would like is more female owners (preferably single) for no picticular reason!!!!!! cheers P.S I think this one is most important as I am currently single and need to socialise more with the opposite sex.
  9. I agree, but I think we need more people to use the forums which will happen , its just gonna take a bit more time. Once we have the numbers, I think more stuff will happen!!
  10. I'd send you to ST HITEC in New Market which have been very helpful with this kind of stuff, will depend on brand off boost controller possibly and not to sure if you need it fixed or installed. If you need any more info , just PM me cheers.........
  11. Good to catch up with you Gav, sounds like you enjoyed the drive which is always good to hear. "Matt", I got the cards first thing on Monday morning (thankyou very much), will have to track down some of these owners in Hamilton which wont be an easy task as would have already pulled over with altezza/lexus's drivers if I find them or catch up to them. Shouldn't be a problem to find a few, just might take a while. cheers guys..............
  12. Your lucky, wev'e already been back a week at Waikato, havn't done any work though so looking at a busy week this week.....................
  13. Some nice stuff on there!!! Still go for the Cusco one as about half the price of those. Cusco have some pretty nice designs in comparison to those aswell so will find out in a couple of weeks. cheers... Hayden
  14. What else can I get? From where and how much? Just thought i'd get Cusco because I could get it at a cheap price and they have four different types of which I was getting the 2nd best as I didn't want a carbon fibre brace because of the extra money.............
  15. MODS COMING: Cusco front engine strut brace - front tints at some stage - Chrome mags at some stage and few other little things PREVIOUS Cars: Modified 1993 Mazda familia 1800 non turbo (MAZ2NV) - 1997 Mitsubishi Evo 4 with about $15000 spent on it (FLYEVO) traded for Lexus when evo had only done 38,000km because of lack of mechanical expertise in Hamilton resulting in some expensive bills and insurance rebursments to me which didn't cover the damage. Located in Hamilton, on city edge so close to town but still technolgical out of city (just), Currently a fourth year student at Waikato University studying Management (BMS) and double majoring in marketing and international management and also strategic management and leardership. Really enjoying my lexus/atezza, its a shame that so many are coming into NZ, but fortunately they are such a stylish car that stand out from the rest anyways.......... cheers...........................
  16. I've got 17 inch wheels 215/45/17, may test out this theory and see if my lexus equals that of our other cars too. Will be interested in seeing the results!!!
  17. I think i have discovered this too. I have a Apexi RSM and noticed that it was reading a lesser speed than the speedo at different speeds, I found it to be unaccurate at speeds over 100 km/hr, I have tuned it to read more like the speedo which is therefore probably incorrect but figured I 'd rather be going slower than i thought, than faster than I thought. Does any one know the top speed when it cuts out. I have reached a top speed of 192 km/h way of the clock, but because of my tuning of the RSM it may in fact be over 200 km/hr which I suspected it was as it seems to go way off the clock and keep accerating........ Can these cars have their speedo's recaliborated, any one know about price etc? cheers. Hayden
  18. So when's the house warming, if theres gonna be hot ladies I might have to suss ya party out if i can make it haha.................. hows the new house (pad) treatin u!!!!!! (Sorry guys for making this a new post, I did it while very drunk in the morning)
  19. they are probably only 30mm then, I got them from mag and turbo, as only two springs were available at the time of purchase so I went for the King springs. They did a nice job but its not sacked out. a few people in the back put it under the guards however, just a pity I dont have any friends...haha One of my pictures I submitted makes the car look lower as the cars height was lowered to make the picture look better. Im pretty happy with the kings however mag and turbo sort of mislead me in the lowering (mm) department, as im pretty sure they told me about 40mm when i first got them and I was intially dissapointed that the car wasnt lower when they had finished the job. Are there any better springs avalible, I see your getting some springs, what are they etc. P.S Just saw first glimpse of my mates turbo altezza tonight as he was down from auckland. Has 18 inch mags and yellow, full kit etc, but didnt seem nothing special to me, however I didn't go for a ride as they were to drunk!!!! Sounded like a truck (not to cool) and idle was pretty bad. Hopefully get a better look at it another time and experience the power.
  20. Not many mods at the moment, just really a pod air filter, 35mm lowering springs and stereo system. Not sure whether I want to spend much more money on cars as lost $15000 on the evo so need to start lookin at buying a house and saving up for my OE but some chrome mags would be nice. If I had bought an altezza first I would have spend probably over 10,000 on mods but that situation did not happen, but its the kind of car that you can be pretty happy with without to many mods anyway. cheers Hayden
  21. sweet as. It pulls the ladies though so im pretty happy , although I dont have a mrs at the moment :( :( :( :(
  22. Hamilton is only good for mags and tyres really at the moment. I just find that I have more confidence in Auckland tuners as they have had more experience if you go to the right places... cheers.. Hayden
  23. Yeah no badge on steering wheel, pretty crap aye, havn't had time to source another one yet!!!
  24. Sweet as, I can see what your saying and dont argue the fact about lexus vs altezza. If you read what I said, I said that I bought the car like it is, meaning that it came from japan badged and registered as a lexus. As far as I know you cant import IS300's as they only were offered to NZ as a new vehicle to Lexus, could be wrong........but honestly i've never seen a IS300 but others have told me theres some around. If I had the extra 10,000 I would have bought an EVO 7 but pretty much did a straight swap for the evo 4 at the time as the car I have now was the best IS200 I could find at the time.. cheers Hayden
  25. unfortunately no I dont have any badge so cant swap ya...... cheers... Hayden
