Just thought id tell you my story about servicing my lexus is250 and issue's i have had the last few weeks ) first we could get the stupid oil filter off had to take it to lexus dealership to do. Next we finished the service yesterday (75k) driving along car starts stall then starts again then stalls i get it to park and it has a vsc warning on the dash. while waiting for a tow truck i look up that his warning can cover anything from a broken fuel cap to transmission to injector problems and the list goes on - Currently the car is a auto electrician who has put his computer on it and its coming up an immobilizer issue. I ring lexus and this is why i hate dealerships i explain to the guy on the phone what the issue is and he is like you will have to bring it in. All i wanted was some advise on how we might be able to get the thing started. so now its on a tow truck again to lexus so they can tell me its a immobilizer issue. All keep you updated on how it turns out so the main thing is if you ever get a VSC Warning it can mean any number of things

Anyone know anywhere other then lexus that can replace my leftside fronts HID globe - Lexus wants $550 to do it - if i cant find cheaper i'll have to pay it as it drives me insane Thanks in advance

Second part to story, no return call which pissed me off, A friend of mine used to work as a machanic at ferrari has a mate at lexus. What happens with the oil filter housing on these lexus's as thet expand and contract sometimes they get stuck and lexus are the only ones with the tool to get them loose. Its the way of the world now with cars so you have to go back to the dealer that you brought them from to do the service. So the car is booked in tomorrow morning in the Am to get this filter fitter at another $100 to fit a filter which to be honest is total bull*BLEEP* but what can i do i need the damm thing changed

i said no because i was going to belt my self at the bar on sunday night but now i have soccer monday so im still a no :( but i'll def come on the next one

Hi guys, Im up to my 75k service and my mechanic tried to get the housing off the oil filter and he said who ever last did the service has done it up so tight he cant get it off, he doesnt want to try so hard he breaks it as it is made of aluminum The car has allways been service at lexus Sutherland so i rang them and questioned why it was put on so tight. the guy on the phone ( Adam ) claimed they have done 100's of oil filter changes and question my mechanics ability ( he builds race engines and is a head mechanic for a pro stock race car team )so i put him on speaker and they spoke about it. I said well can i bring it in and get them to have a look and he wants to charge me and im like wtf why should you charge me to loosen a oil filter which you guys did up so tight no one can remove it. I asked who the service manager is ( Richard ) was meant to call me back but no return call which im pretty disappointed about as i want this service done. Yous guys got any advise on what i should do.

day after sunday night on long weekend - computer says id love to but wont happen

i got 20x8.5 on the front and 20x 10 on the back - lowered with king springs - doesnt scrape at all - i drive my car for work and do about 20000 klms a year and the ride is perfect, a mate of mine commented on the ride and said it doesnt even feel as if the car is lowered with 20's on it http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8372&st=60 pics are on page 7 hope this helps
