Not quite Aircon. You can't "enable" speed cameras from the data on the DVD as there is no function for it in the system. It would be great though. What you can do is program or input a speed camera warning yourself using your memory points. There are a couple of ways of doing it so writing out instructions will take me a while and probably be a bit long winded but I'll give it a go and then post it up. ahhh...no worries. I got my hopes up! I know how to do the memory points...but that's rather laborious.

Lexus will be debuting the CT 200h at the 2010 New York International Auto Show later this month and has announced that the model will go on sale in the US market in early 2011. The CT 200h will be the first hybrid in the newly emerging premium compact segments in both North America and Europe. It is intended to compete against models such as the upcoming Audi A1. The Lexus CT 200h will be smaller than the Toyota Prius. The hybrid powertrain on the front-wheel drive CT 200h features a 1.8 liter four-cylinder VVT-i gasoline/petrol engine teamed up with a magnet synchronous electric motor powered by nickel-metal hydride batteries. Lexus is cagely not providing any performance figures for the car, but it's a good guess it will come with something a little more than the 134 bhp (100 kW) available on the Prius, which has a similar hybrid set-up. One special feature of the CT 200h will be its four drive modes - Normal, Eco, Sport and EV. In Eco mode, the car holds back on the air-conditioning and optimizes the hybrid drive system for maximum efficiency. Sport mode will be more performance-oriented. In EV mode, the car can be run purely on electrical power for limited stretches, which the press release says is an unimpressive single mile (1.6 km). The CT 200h also comes with a host of technological goodies which you can read about in the press release. The 2010 New York International Auto Show takes place from March 31 to April 11. ... and are now 50hp less powerful because of it. Ethanol blends have less specific power than "normal" petrol variants. This is an interesting read about E20 testing: http://www.environment.gov.au/atmosphere/fuelquality/publications/2000hours-vehicle-fleet/index.html I've decided against putting ethanol fuels the vehicles I own. If E10 is half the strength of E20, things still don't look too good. I can't believe the amount of corrosion shown in the report in less than 3 months of testing. did you happen to notice the AGE of the cars in that test? a car has to have components that DON'T react to the ethanol for it to be ethanol compliant. Those cars are 1985 and 1990 models and this test is dated 2003. I'd love to see a recent test with a recent car that IS ethanol compatible. reading that report is a waste of time.

well that's all ok, but the official lexus website says all cars post 2002 apart from IS200....and that's regardless of the sticker being there or not. Also, E10 is 94 octane isn't it? if the car requires 95, is that significant? Hard to imagine..,.....and I'm not convinced that you'd get any extra performance or economy out of 98...and if it's economy you want, it wouldn't make sense to pay an extra 18 cents per litre to get next to no extra economy (if any) does it? The whole petrol thing's a con unless you have a high performance/and or turbo car IMO

really? fair enough then. I know I wouldn't pay $52k for your car and think I got a good deal....but that's here in Vic. And don't worry about carsales....advertised prices and final selling prices are often '000s of dollars apart. Getting $52k as a trade in sounds like an awesome deal to me, unless, of course, you could knock, for example, $10k+ off the price of the new car with no trade in!

eheheheheheh maybe your cousin should learn how to use his Lexus sat nav because you can program camera warnings into the factory system. When your Mum buys you a car, and you're allowed out on the road on your own, we'll show you how to do it & you can show your cousin. No not illegal. Now to answer the question before someone asks it: Why is it on a Navman for $150 but not in a Lexus/BMW/Audi etc? Its to do with corporate morality by the car companies. If they have it programmed into their cars it is seen as promoting unsafe driving. Just the reason the factory nav system has a disclaimer when you start the car about driving safe etc. Can you imagine Today Tonight or A Current Affair if some P plater killed someone in his Mum's Lexus & it was proven that the factory system encouraged speeding by warning when to do 160km & when to slow back to 60km. As if to promote it. The speed cameras are actually in the nav data just not utilised by the system, so I'm told. Its pretty easy to program camera warnings into the system if you really want them and works really well. Plus you only have to program it once, well worth the time IMO. The RTA even supply a list of their locations http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/roadsafety/speedandspeedcameras/fixeddigitalspeedcameras/fixedspeedcameralocations/ jake u must tell me how to do it i want it same here! Although it's not as critical in the Lexus with cruise control as it is in my other car without, but it can't hurt.
