  1. Yes...you're right. I, in fact, once haggled on a new car so much that they finally paid me to take it. It was a fantastic deal. I got the car PLUS $15k!!! Anyone who actually pays out for a car is mad.
  2. hooray!! exactly right. for what it is, i don't think there's anything better...maybe that's why i bought one :)
  3. well to start off with bigger brakes Different Diff Diffedrent ratios on the gearbox Bigger engine Bigger drive shafts other than that it's pretty much the same car but.. with a big of difference :D lol...classic. there's this exotic car mechanic...complete fool....but he was going on about how the windscreen of a certain model car is the same as in another model of the same brand. he was caught out and finally came out with this "the same, in a non identical way" Just like this...the IS350 is the same as an IS250...in a non identical way :)
  4. I hope they put the HUD(Heads up display) that is in the new RX Sports Luxury. It is probably the feature I like the most at the moment. After driving with it and then getting back into an IS you really miss it. So I hope it is added to the IS range. Surely they will. Even the I-Tech Prius has it now.
  5. thank God for that....I was getting a bit concerned. I love my IS250. It's one of the best cars I've ever owned (and I've owned quite a few), but seriously....why is anyone concerned with its performance? For a 1600kg car with a 2.5l engine I think it goes very well and returns excellent fuel consumption, at the same time offering a very quiet and luxurious ride with just about every gadget known to man....and all this with fantastic fit, finish and reliability. IMO that's what this car is about and it's the reason I bought it. If you want a performance car and you're worried about the 0-100 times (or any other performance figures) then I think you're looking at the wrong car. Just my opinion, of course. So sorry k2sty1, but I really think if these are the important issues to you, then maybe you need to get a Porsche.
  6. Well USB plug is now standard. I believe that our Nav systems will be moving away from DVD to hard drive system. Hopefully some of that memory will be usable. Also Bluetooth streaming should be not too far away. I'm suprised why we can't play music though bluetooth in the IS250 yet. A2DP protocol has been around in phones for many many years now, you can buy bluetooth headphones and stream music to them etc. You'd think they'd forget about messy cables and just upgrade their bluetooth in the EMV. Having said that, iPod/iPhone doesn't have A2DP (unless it has been put in recently). Still, many phones have had it for years. Ah well. Good thing about A2DP is that you can also skip tracks, play/pause, ffw/rew, and get track listings etc remotely on the screen etc. which is essentially what this integration kit does, except wirelessly. You'd think that would be a smarter way to go about it. Come on Lexus! I hired a Hyundai Getz recently that allowed my iphone to play music, use the phone and listen to sat nav all via bluetooth!!! what the hell?? a $15k car!
  7. funny wasnt a joke.. i do get around that mark I get that too on the freeway. ive got blury photo evidence lol. was so amazed. thats over 1000km to a tank. full freeway driving tho. lol...... i actually get 5.2 freeway when i can contain myself but the risk of dying of boredom is not worth that saving so my freeway usage is more like 7L although thats not a lot either! :-) correct...it doesn't matter how you look at it, for the size and weight of the car it's really good.
  8. I got offered a 2008 X for $45k in December. only 6,000km in that light blue colour. was mint. I wanted a SL though.
  9. Turning on the AC doesn't take power from the engine. It's an electric driven compressor compared to the traditional belt driven ones found on most common cars. is it really?? awesome.
  10. Thats correct..... ok. i assume that will go for toyotas too...but at this stage the only way to get it is to buy a new car? lol..sounds expensive.
  11. I put this stuff on one of my cars. Pretty much invisible and works a treat. Mate's been using it for years. Sold M3 CSL with 100,000km on it and it still looked like new.
  12. I saw it. I reckon it's going to be a very special car and they'll all get sold. Price will be no issue.
  13. was it parked at the time? I had that happen to me a couple of months ago. Bent my car like a banana....and it was only run into by a car! Total write off. :( Nah i was stationary at a round about and heard screetching tyres, looked in review mirror to see a monster truck grill then bang.... lol sounds terrifying.
  14. Thats nice too, I'm just waiting for my mate to buy the new Superleggera, I'll take it to the track. has that even been announced yet? i read about the LP570 Gallardo replacement yesterday.
