CT200h @ the dyno day?
-
@ DIS-LEX-SIC do you know of any Sydney based ones?
Nothing as far as I know.
As I was discussing with Blacky, I'm disappointed as I can't make any of these dates as I'm heading down to Phillip Island for MotoGP.
I'm sending some clients down as a thanks.
Hope you have an awesome time Blacky. We want photos!

Yes lunch is included.
Their catering in the past has always been pretty good too.

That is rich and I cannot find anywhere in the info about what you get for your money, other than the single passenger lap in the LFA.
You also get:
This is also your opportunity to test your own driving capabilities as you drive the IS F and IS 350 around Sandown Raceway. With a professional driver providing one-on-one high performance coaching from the passenger seat, youll gain valuable tips to get the absolute best from your experience and learn more about the driving potential of your Lexus IS F .as well as IS F hot laps with Neal Bates.
If you'd like me to shoot you the full details PM me your email address.
I also have an idea on why you didn't get an invite.

something I beleive should be free!
Why do you think it should be free?
Just asking. Hope you don't mind.

Can't wait, a hot lap in a LFA
What makes it even better is the fact that Scott Pruett is at the wheel. He has been the American Le Mans champion and is one of the best drivers I've been in a car with. I was lucky enough to get a few laps around Wakefield Park in an IS-F with him driving...awesome.
-
The IS-F launch was at Wakefield. We had close to 20 IS-F's and the track to ourselves. I also got to do a few laps with Scott Pruett who was driving for Lexus in the American Le Mans series. He was a freak.
I've also done a few days at Wakefield in my own cars and there not much for you to hit as it's in the middle of a lot of open land. You'll be pretty safe doing a day there.
Less chance of hitting a wall than at Eastern Creek. Although I crashed my bike at Eastern Creek 3 weeks ago and all I got was a helmet full of gravel so its pretty safe as well.

Someone was trying to sell that plate last year.
Can't see it selling.
If I had an LFA the plate would be LFA-(build #)

Really good quality and attention to detail
After having a play(not drive) with the real thing a few weeks ago, I am inpressed with the accuracy of the scale model.
-
Great idea...something different.
I've done a few of these days with motorbikes previously. Good fun.

after 9 months and 5 visits to the dealer.
Persistance may have paid off, fingers crossed ;)
From both you & the dealer.
Other brands would have given up long ago.
-
LS460 or LS600hL would be P I M P
-
If I were to bring it to another dealer to get the fobs reprogrammed, would they charge me for it?
If you have any dramas with this PM me & I'll get it sorted........and a few other things for you.

On that note ... it looks like the GS350 F Sport will inherit the (original, 10-spoke) wheels from the IS F.
Not quite. Looks similar but it is a different wheel.

Hi guys,
Just picked up my new IS250 yesterday, such a nice step up from my old Corolla :D
Anyway, since this is my very first Lexus, got a couple of questions (sorry if they are too obvious/dumb lol)
- In the manual, it says that you can hold the lock button to wind up all windows and close the moonroof, I tried it with my remote but it doesn't work, where do you need to be (inside or outside the car, I'm new to this keyless entry system as well lol)?
Hey Duy congrats on the new ride.
The windows up/down off remote needs to be enabled at the dealer. Takes 5 mins.
As for the scrolling on your ipod...yes it is annoying. Try using the left dial on the stereo to scroll as it is faster.

Driven a couple of 2011 IS-Fs & I've driven the new and old back to back.
The new isn't what I'd call softer just more settled and feels planted when you get bumps mid corner.
Does ride nicer.
What do you guys thinks of the MY12 wheels that were posted up recently?
-
You need to be careful when playing with modding lights and anything electrical.
I've heard it can be tricky ;)
-
Wow great turn out of cars. Each meet seems to get better. Pity I missed this due to work.
Can't quite tell from the brief glimse in one of the photos due to the angle but I'm pretty sure there is an IS sedan with IS convertible wheels.
Can anyone confirm?
-
Can't believe I missed this thread.
I spotted the new wheels in another thread & thought "gee he was quiet about that"
They look great.
-
For personal reasons the car must be under my mothers name
:D Who's been a naughty boy then huh?? ;)
NRMA is the way to go.
From memory you only need to be listed on your "mum's" policy if you drive the car more than 12 times a year.
So that's 12 crashes & claims before you run out of chances. The excess will hurt though.
-
Can you confuse a driveline & steering/suspension/wheels type shudder or vibration?
I would of thought the feeling would be different.
-
I love the sound of the F-Sport but for me it was too loud for a Lexus
Modifying with style & luxury still in mind. I like that.
Hopefully I get to hear this soon.
Once you had selected the Fujitsubo Legalis R, where did you buy it? Supplier from Japan or the USA?
-
Did you find out what it was?
-
Amazing that 2 aftermarket bars fit and the F sport doesn't.
Good post that should save someone from the same trouble.
