  1. Hi Guys, Some of you have been asking me for some Flat bottom wheel pics so here they are. Great mod, Feels great and imo looks OEM. Cheers
  2. No mate got it from Lextuners they were having it on sale - landed it was $630 Aus and shipped within 4 days - was very impressed with the service. Looks and feels great. Chatswood didn't have any probs at all - Chris was done in under 20mins. http://www.lextuners.com/lexus-interior-accessories-is.html Initially I thought so also but all dynos are different and depends on temp & which gear the car is dynoed etc - RS4's and V8 R8 were getting around the 200 - 212 mark so it seems relative. Would need to run ISF's side by side same day same dyno to compare figures ... Hence I hope they move that Dyno day as I'd really like to come :)
  3. Hey Dude, I'd love to come to the Lex dyno day also but only if the date is moved - I'm O/S that week of Nov ... keep me posted if it changes please. 4. Had my first service and retro fitted my new flat bottom wheel through Lexus Chatswood. They were awesome, great service and went out of there way to help out with the ISF. Retro fitted the flat bottom wheel which inc the airbag and control swap free of charge. Drove out of there very happy with my comp chocs :) - thanks Sid, Scotty and Chris.
  5. sorry to go off topic but how are u finding the JoeZ BRISMAN ? just waiting on mine ... Thanks Mike
  6. Now that Sir is one rare cool shot :) Hmmmm looks like it's attached and not hosted - would you like me to host it and provide you with an URL ?
  7. Very nice Danny, love the colour Out of curiosity do you find the standard tint very light on ? mine was factory tint and I'm thinking of getting it redone ... Here's a pic of mine - cheers name: Mike Year: 2010 model state: NSW
  8. If you run your fingers under the rear guard you would notice a lip that takes up a good 10mm. Because I have increased my wheel offsets and width, means that my tyres rubbed against this lip. In Sydney we have a reliable professional mobile guard roller that uses 2 devices that lock on to your wheel hub and roll these lips which gives you that extra clearance to avoid rubbing. He also uses a heat gun to ensure the paint does not bubble or peel. Cost was $65 per corner. Hope that helps mate - you may be able to get someone in Melb but make sure you get a reference from someone who has used them Sydney Guard Rolling
  9. Hey Mate, What kind of front lip ? any pics Thanks Mike
  10. Thanks mate The wheels specs are 20x8.5 front with 245/30 tyres and 20x10 rear with 255/30. The rear offset is fairly aggressive +38 so 255 was the widest I could go and had to roll the guards to avoid rubbing. In regards to suspension that floaty feel with the OEM shocks are gone. Ride is not harsh unless you land in a pothole :)- best way to describe it that the car settles allot faster on bumps which helps handling. Happy to give you a drive if you are in Sydney. Only 354 sold, that's exclusive & the chances of seeing a fellow ISF owner on the road is quite rare :)
  11. Thanks for the welcome + feedback fellows Yeah the wheels are not for everyone's taste - I just wanted something different to the usual deep dish silver / black look. It actually looks better in person esp the concave in the rear imo.. Hope to meet a few members over the next GTG Cheers Mike
  12. Hi Guys, Posted on the US forums and had to share some pics here as well :) KW's are amazing - has improved the ride handling and over all character of the car. Cheers Mike
  13. Hey Mieknbn, might I have seen you around the OzAudi forum (I am an irregular user "A3&Q7")? I recently moved to Lexus power with a MY11 IS F from my A3 2.0TQ. Am happy with the step up! I believe you were/are an S3 driver? Agree with your sentiment - it really does balance so well the luxury and the performance. I've been very impressed. My only gripe is that you seemingly can't manually override the gears when it is in D like you can with the S-Tronic paddle shifters. Yes it will kick down (not that quickly) but then you seemingly can't continue to manually override as it just seems to allow you to hold the gear or go back gears. Other than that very small complaint, I am loving the IS F. Hi mate Yes that's me - I had a stage 3 S3 & a C63 previously - sold both and now the ISF. Congrats on yours, glad your liking it. I think the ISF is so understated esp when you bring it up in any convo on EURO forums - I do my best to keep it objective but some ppl are just narrow minded when it comes to badges ;) I've just done the suspension and wheels - looks and handles like a dream Cheers Mike
  14. I hardly see any around in Sydney and keep getting asked about my "body kit" :) Not many ppl are aware that Lexus builds hi-po cars. Keep having to explain that its the same concept as AMG is to Merc etc ... At the end of the day, one of my main reasons for buying the car was exclusivity. It also has the perfect balance between luxury and performance.
  15. Some pics attached - I'll get some pics up once the suspension is installed Cheers - Mike
  16. I was very hisitant also in regards to rolling the guards but after some local forum research Nelson from Sydney Guard Rolling came highly recommended. Have to say he did an amazing job, took his time spent about 45 mins on each corner with 2 different angled rollers and most importantly a heat gun. I'll be using Pedders (Granville) since I've known them over 15 years and this being my 5th car to have the upgrade. Here's a link for my last car, fitted Bilsteins PSS10 + H&R rolls Coilover + Sway Install I import my tyres from Tirerack.com in the US they sell ExtremeContact DWS which are great on the track imo and cost around 1100 (OEM sizes) shipped to your door for a whole set. I've also used Toyo R888 in the past with other cars, another great tyre for track use. I'm running Pirelli Pzero's on the street rims Max I could go on the rear was 255/30/20 because of the aggressive offsets. Front 245/30/20. I'm yet to take the ISF on the track as its only a few month old - Yes Sid from Chatswood has invited me a few times but am too busy this time of the year to take a weekday off.... hopefully soon. I've heard all about Luke's ISF though.... Hopefully join you one of these days.. I'll try and get some pics up tomorrow with the new rims Cheers Mike
  17. Thanks for the feedback mate - much appreciated. Have placed a order for the KW's (ETA 4 weeks) I'm in Sydney so spacers are out as they are illegal in NSW - I'm keeping the OEM wheels for track use fitted with some sem-slicks .. I wanted a set of wheels purely for street and looks so ended up squeezing a set of 20" on today ....to be exact 20 x 8.5 ET35 (front) & 20 x 10 ET38 (Rear) - Got the guards rolled by Sydney Guard Rolling who did an amazing job without any issues... I'll try and get some pics soon but I went for a set of these in Matte Black concave rear - will PM you for some setting details on the KW's Thanks again - Mike
  18. Hi Guys, Anyone running coilovers and / or aftermarket rims in OZ ? Would love to get some feedback on various set-ups ie size / width / offset and opinions on coilovers vs stock etc ... I'm leaning towards set of KW's Pics would also be nice :) Cheers Mike
  19. Well im told there is a steering shaft in the way , and so the route of the pipes is different. As for the JoeZ exhaust ,it deletes one set of cat converters, and sounds.... just awesome... ive never been pulled over bout the sound,... Actually i have.. but the cop was awesome bout it , told me to give it a bit of a rev, (seems he loves V8s, and told me thats how they should all sound) Im home next week, im going to try and go see this guy bout the headers.. then i will report back here. Willing to catch up and show you all the sound... Richie Hey Richie, How did you get a hold of the JoeZ in Aus ? Thanks Mike
  20. Thanks Guys - much appreciated The only available exhaust I've been able to find in Aus is the Borla from these guys in ACT Borla cat back Overall aftermarket gear seems to be rare in Aus for these cars
  21. Hi Guys, New to the forum :) picked up my silver ISF 2 weeks ago and loving it. Have been trying to source some aftermarket performance bits - starting with a cat back exhaust. Could I ask where you sourced your JoeZ cat back system please ? I'm in Sydney btw. Thanks in advance Mike
