  1. No rubbing at all mate, they aren't aggressive offsets and the tyres are standard sizes - perfect set if you track the car with lowered suspension. They are super light - drob the store and have a look for yourself. Cheers Mike

  3. Looks great but also looks like a bitch to install. My guess is u may need to drop the engine. Probably end up costing 8 - 9k installed, not worth it IMO. Great bit of spaghetti art though :) Hopefully we get some good news on the PPE soon. Off to the US soon may get a set of 200 cells on the way back.
  4. Yes matey it sure will. 303 aerospace is all u need for the interior. I threw away all my other greasy leather cleaners after using this. Works on ur dash and other plastics also. Great product.
  5. Thanks for the positive feedback guys - much appreciated. Thanks mate I'll give dodo a shot next time, love trying different waxes. I love Zaino Z5pro cause it's easy to apply on and really gives you that deep finish. Brisman I also use car care products in Sydney and waxit.com.au in , a little cheaper and offer free shipping over $150. Also highly recommend 303 aerospace For ur interior, non greasy non shiny product that works on plastic and leather. Another great product easy to apply and keeps ur interior looking new. Cheers Mike
  6. So I finally found sunny weekend in Sydney to give the F some TLC 2 hits of zaino followed by Pinnacle wax, thought I'd share some pics :) Cheers Mike
  7. The PTS is a cat-back system which sits behind the primary cats. You would usually look at the cats when the headers are replaced & there are a few high flow options available. I doubt anyone would even consider removing the cats completely though .... Well not by Lexus and not in Aus :)
  8. Hey Richie, Any updates on the PPE headers as yet ?
  9. It actually costs close to $980 to ship these directly from L-Tuned. So not taking GST & Aus$ into consideration that's $2700 (import may be exempt as it's made in the USA) I initially got Sid from Chatswood Lexus to order one for me to save on freight by throwing it on the back of other orders from L-Tuned. I think he ended up ordering close to 6 systems which I believe have now all been sold..... Cost at the time was around the $2700 which included fitting and peace of mind that it was all covered under warranty. Yes it's loud and yes there is drone around 1800rpm but I love it. It's a weekend ride for me so it's not overwhelming. Have a listen for yourself before you commit & I highly recommend going through Chatswood. They have been excellent in every regard. Cheers Mike
  10. Thanks for the positive feedback, Suspension is great, I've left it on the factory setting which is perfect for me on Sydney roads. On the OEM wheels and tyres the ride is on par with standard. The main difference is that it's more composed and the car settles alot quicker on road imperfections. You don't get than "bouncy boaty" feel at low speeds either. The handling is amazing - great turn-in and balance with very little body roll. In regards to ride, number of things can contribute to that. - Tyres to start with, The 30 series on my aftermarket rims don't help, the ride is firmer - still very composed but definitely firmer than OEM. - Setup, not the easiest things to adjust as they have independent compression and rebound. I've been told the boys at City Performance (KW distributor) have settings to suit your needs, this includes a Nurbug set-up which would be ideal for the track. Running this set-up on Sydney roads would mean a firmer ride. - Height adjustment - yes I could go another inch all around (KW don't recommend sitting it at its lowest point but the car could sit another 20mm lower if need be) frankly I barely get over steep inclines / speed humps with the current height. For me the car is a weekend driver and thats the only reason it's sitting this low. The front spoiler gets a beating on drive way entry/exit dips, taking then on angles helps but not all can be avoided. Yes the wheels are from Ozzy Tyres - I really wanted a concave set-up and these were the only set I could find in Aus that fitted the ISF.... barely :) Only negative, the offset at the rear is ET38 so if lowering like I have 255 are the widest fit on the rear. My guards have also been rolled which helps. Cheers Mike
  11. PM sent mate - sorry about the late reply.
  12. Be careful with EBC, last time I used these on a previous car, they chewed through my OEM rotors. They are a great product when used with their rotors. Also the biggest problem with going aftermarket or racing pads is that they squeal like a pig until they warm up. Either way check on the US forums and see what feedback users give u. VIP have a huge range and they ship to oz. http://vipautosalon.com/store/index.php/lexus/is-f-2008-present-use20-1?cat=63&limit=20&p=1 Cheers Mike
  13. Hey Guys, Just got back from the Lexus track day at Sandown... must say it was a blast. Got flown down to Melbourne for a 12pm start with hot laps in the CT 200/ 350 / ISF. Followed by some driver training and you behind the wheel taking turns in each of the cars. Last but not least the day was finished up with a hot lap in the LFA - sensational.... You guys are in for a real treat tomorrow, have Fun!! Once again big thanks to Sid and the gang at Chatswood for an amazing day! Mike
  14. Hi Guys, I purchased this front lip from Danny (ilv1004s) awhile back. I still haven't had a chance to fit it to the ISF. However it's already an effort just getting in and out of my drive way with the suspension being lowered. So have decided against installing it. Since purchasing I've had the two side bits Carbon Wrapped - if that doesn't suit it can be easily peeled off & painted etc... For now here's a few I stole from Danny's earlier post on parts for sale. Purchased for $350 & CF wrap costs were $150. Just looking at recouping my costs, so open to offers Price Reduced to $400 ono Location Sydney but happy to post interstate at buyers cost Mob: 0421324946 email: mikenbn@iinet.net.au
  15. Hey Richie, Please keep us posted on the porting ... Sorry but I didn't think you were there when last Friday when I got the exhaust fitted ? I've got a set of KWV3, 20" dubs, flat bottom wheel and now the JoeZ cat back. I'm looking at the icode intake and replacement filter. Will keep in mind about your joeZ though, thanks Mike
  16. Headers sells for 1400 in US but I think it's a 7hr job to install. Then a set of HF cats etc - My guess is very little change from 3K PPE parts Link
  17. Just got this message directly from PPE this morning Hi Mike, I am please to tell you that we will be developing a header fo the Right hand drive Australian Spec ISF (as well as IS250 and IS350). We will be working with Lexus if Chatswood to develope the new driver's side header. http://www.lexusofchatswood.com.au/ We should have them available early next year. Best Regards, Paul
  18. No Danny, Intake Manifold porting. Lex Chats is sending the manifold down to get ported as per Brisman's mod. However, there is some good news in regards to headers, Sid mentioned Chatswood Lex is having PPE here around Nov /Dec to design a set of headers for right-hand drive cars... good things to come :) Damn, I'm loving the ISF with JoeZ, giggling like a school girl, driving through tunnels :D
  19. Here are some pics of the actual parts Cheers

  21. Had my JoeZ fitted by Chatswood yesterday, sounds amazing. Yes it's fairly loud but cruising speeds seem to fine. Slight drone around the 1500rpm. As Brisman mentioned will give it some time to settle before making any definite judgements on drone. The quality and fittment was excellent. The V8 note is just so unique to anything on the road though.... I've just been finding excuses to go for drives :) Big thanks to Sid and the crew from Lexus Chatswood for getting this sorted for me - as always a pleasure to deal with. Also saw Ritchie's car in there getting the intake manifold treatment :) - please keep us posted when you get the car back. Cheers Mike
  22. Thats cool as long as I get fair notice on the date :) Keep me posted - thanks dude
  23. No probs mate - there used to be a full leather option but doesn't seem to be there anymore ... http://www.lextuners.com/lexus-interior-accessories-is.html I opted for this because it was on special and you can always get the top wrapped in carbon fibre or even done in Alcantra by a local fabricator. It just feels really nice to grip & sits well. Cheers - Mike
