  1. The IS350 as i said is a nice ride. Thoroughly enjoyable, direct and swift but the ISF is legendary. It is a beast. It has the looks the sound and the muscle. It is a totally different car, ICONIC in my opinion. Even the wife loves getting into it and letting it rip. I have had the privilege of taking it on a track day at Phillip Island and all i can say is that it was a rush and you really appreciate what engineering has gone into it. It was built for it. Put it this way, when you are in a IS350 and a F6 or Clubsport lines up and gives you that (whats this Lexus poxy car) look then you unfortunately have to grit your teeth and let him go, but in the ISF you can look at him and say BRING IT ON!!! And the best part of it is that when they lose and they always do (unless heavily modified) then the look on their faces is Priceless as they say "Ive just been beaten by a LEXUS". Danny has a point that if it is your daily driver and you are going to buy the original 2008-early 2009 series 1 model then the ride is very hard. If you can go a little bit further and get the Series 2 MY10 model which is what i have then the suspension is a lot softer and it has the Torsen Limited Slip Diff. I use it on the weekends as a family car and i have 2 teenage children. Worth the 20k mate.
  2. I had a IS 350 F Sport and can honestly say i loved it. It was fairly quick, (not enough to take on the HSV's or G6E Turbo current generations that is) but pretty close though. I really enjoyed it. The only reason i changed it was because i upgraded to the ISF. But all in all the IS 350 is sweet.
  3. I bought my dad a 97 LS400 VVT model with 260000KMS and can say that it will still outlive a Hyundai, Daewoo or Kia. I will stand by Lexus engineering any day.
  4. Sounds like this guy is on someones payroll. The block doesn't deserve to drive a Lexus. Maybe a unsophisticated Holden or Ford is to his liking.
  5. GPJET HAS SEEN THE LIGHT. Changing to LEXUS 4 years ago was the best move i ever made.
  6. I have done some more following up with this and it is normal for the vehicle to use approximately 1 litre for approximately 10 tanks of petrol. The engine is specifically designed to use a bit to help lubricate the internals especially at higher RPM.
  7. It would be nice for a few keen ISF owners to see if we can book out a venue with not too many people. I would be keen.
  8. Agreed and then there are the others who think that its a F#$%*ng GRAND PRIX and they will overtake you anywhere (even on a chicane) as they think that they will be on a podium with a bottle of champagne with 3 bikini models at the end of the race.
  9. I only service it at Lexus of Adelaide. Not sure what they use.
  10. Hi guys, i did a couple of track days with the ISF and must admit it was great. I had the vehicle checked over from Lexus and the car came back with a good report. One thing was that they advised that they put approximately 1.5 litres of engine oil in it to top it up. It had done 12000 kms from the previous service and when i asked if this was normal their response was yes, it is normal for the car to use this amount of oil. I did not have any low warning lights come up or anything as i said i just put it in for a check up. Has anyone else experienced anything similar??
