update : HKS SSM - SOLD.

so from speaking with Peter @ Kirrawee and a few of the guys who have had this fitted I believe the ISF version is basically the IS250/350 x force system? from the website the 250/350 ver. compared to the ' isf version ' what I think is the mid section is the same, the axle back section has been flipped and different mufflers replaced the 250/350 versions. and guessing hanger locations are the same? someone should try and invidia 250/350 with custom mufflers on an F ;)

swap the 35 for a 2011? haha joking wow that says a lot the fact that your going back to an F... im sure a very clean 13/14 will come up shortly :) talk to MR2QIK he just had PPE's installed.

Yeah thats the place I got mine from (the ebay advert) thats Kirawee Mufflers - ring and ask them for a price they will sort you out :) tell them David with the white ISF refered you.

AIMGAIN 3 pce rear spoiler - previously purchased from another forum member who spent quite a bit having it hi-filled and ready to paint, have had it professional painted in white (ISF white) but can easily be wrapped or color change etc - suits ISX50 boot spoilers can fit to the F but the holes are visible when removing the OEM spoiler. very unique and cool item if you ask me! $700

yeah the drone was annoying I had to keep it in 7th gear on some long drives to get it out of that 'drone zone' lol. I will give the XF a good test tonight as I was stuck in traffic all the way home after fitting @ kirrawee mufflers (who did an excellent job btw and the shop owner designed the system so who better to install it!) I paid $1350 all up installed which is just.. stupid really, cheap as! but initial impression was sounded very good and did not drone when holding the car @ 90kmh etc - so really so far so good! $5,500 is too much.. you can get a HPS for a few hundred, TOMs drop in etc for $100 or so.. the Joe Z is better quality but it drones apparently so.. yeh.

ISS was more 'boomy' if that makes sense, HKS i really liked but I priced up a custom mid and I actually paid the same amount for the full x force system so I just went with it! had too many systems I know lol!

well, I got it. so far I am very impressed - yes its obviously louder than stock but I have not noticed any drone at cruising speeds as mentioned by the guys, will give it a proper test tonight or tomorrow and will chuck up some dashcam vids! thanks to Peter for the assistance / phone calls! appreciate it mate.

yeah I seen that module and kind of agree, keep it simple less things to go wrong - we should have some videos by this time tomorrow and I will post them up asap. requested normal driving / highway driving in cabin footage to sort of get an idea what its like from some non-varex owners in the states!

does look good peter, the fact that you have gone over it gives me a good idea that the product is up to scratch - any issues re fitting? yeah we just need some videos of the XF.. I mean its going to be the same price for me to have a custom mid made for my HKS vs getting the XF sytem (non varex) which.. is kind of tempting... but id like to hear it first, XF group buy?? lol. asked on clublexus re video also so if anyone posts one up I will share it here.

For all of you who keep asking or wondering about drone your answer is NO DRONE. Smooth sound loud but not overly loud I would say its the same as the Joe-Z. No check engine codes are present either. To me this is a no brainier if your looking for exhaust. While the craftsmanship isnt to par with Joe-Z the design is essentially the same and would bet that it flows just as good

if you check the JOE Z x X Force comparison it gives a better idea re welds etc. im not bagging on the x force at all I think value for money its great but I havent used it just passing on the feedback from others etc esp in the states. apparently they replicated the Joe Z design which is why its similar etc. ps turn the CAPS off peter haha ;) where are you based workshop wise?

I think the standard has a very 'hks like' design with the drone chambers? nice one. good value for money I agree I have heard some negative comments in regards to the quality of welds etc but yeah hard to argue with the price and availability!

did you get the Varex peter or standard?

going from a 3IS 350 myself to an ISF I can honestly say the 'going backwards' thought never entered my mind, yes the interior is not as good but everything else makes up for it! you can grab a 2012+ quite cheap these days and the shape is a classic that can be improved with a few subtle mods.. id re-consider :)

Bang for buck has to be borla!! i only got the HKS axle due to it being used and now I have to work out a mid pipe so it's a bit of a hassle! i had a milltek axle on my GTI and loved it - don't get the ISS you will hate the drone!

just some company called 'befreejapan' dont really know what your getting which is true.. still JDM tho lol. the HKS mid I can find (USA spec) its around $970USD and no idea about shipping, JDM spec seems no existant.. just can find the metal cat's thats it which are around 1.7k before shipping.. cats alone... all I could find was this video but this is the catback they are selling 'befreejapan' system.
