  1. Better hot than when it's pissing down. Bad for my camera gear as well :)
  2. Sounds good. We can always use the ferrari in a group shot :) Any LFAs ?
  3. They should still be able to service it, but if I'm right, the service centre will put an observation on the service completion report about the condition of the tyres.
  4. . Thanks for the detail, I understand it better now. I did run some calculations on the rolling dia but the numbers I got are slightly different from the ones you put above... 225/40 on R19 is 2x(225x.4)+(19x2.54) = 228.26mm and 245/35 on R19 using the above is 219.76 which is 8.5mm less and not 7.6mm. Using this 275/30 is 13.5mm less than OEM. Did you use a different formula ?
  5. Hey guys, any news on this ? We should get this going while weather is on our side !
  6. My OEM bridgestones usually are best around 36-38. I've found anything over 38 to offer slight less grip in the wet and a bit bumpier, but the steering feels a bit lighter on higher pressures. BTW, do you have to check with the dealership to go for 245/265 setups - Due to Warranty issues ? and the same for insurance - does it count as a mod?
  7. Looks nice... Any rubbing issues on full lock ? How much clearance is there on full lock. Probably also worth checking the clearance when you have one tyre on a ramp; like entering a parking lot or even a driveway.
  8. I don't believe it did get organised. Must be the winter weather ! How many in Melbourne, I see most activity from NSW & quite a lot of Queenslanders on these forums.
  9. There's a good write up at http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?49385-KBM-Pad-Priming-and-Supplemental-Wetting-Agents Seems like these do a good job, however it still doesn't do vertical or horizontal lines which is what you'd want for a sealant application. There'll always be some rotary type action due to the nature of the mechanism. Frank is correct though, they're unlikely to cause additional swirls.
  10. I wouldn't recommend using any rotary applicator - these usually cause swirl marks in the first place. Car washes typically use them and I've spent a lot of time on my previous car trying to remove the swirls. I used Zaino Z2 & Z5 and hours to get them removed. The polish needs to go vertical on doors and horizontal on roof, hood & boot.
  11. I'm not an expert, but I don't believe they would be liable. No dealer would be responsible for the usage of parts supplied - you can legally use your car with aftermarket exhaust, tyres or ECU mods on a track. I'm sure a tyre provide can fit slicks on cars, but doesn't mean they are liable if the owner decides drive on them straight away and use the car on public roads.
  12. I've only done 1 service on my ISF which was at Brighton. Guys seem good, also managed to get a RX350 demo instead of the 250 they usually give as a courtesy. They also fixed a rattle noise which was bugging me for a while - it was from the rear boot separator in my case and only happened between 40-60 on uneven roads. I had to drive around a fair bit to actually show them what the sound was. Nice that it's fixed now :)
  13. Could you post pictures of the cables from the PI and the connector ? Possibly resolution issue as well, try setting PI to output 800*480. (Double check this with the Flyaudio's manual).
  14. Their website is not the best mate... Best try calling them. They have far more products than shown online...
  15. Yes... Autoglym is generally available in Autobarn. It might also be in https://www.catalogueau.com/autobarn/
  16. Can also vouch for Autoglym - I've seen the results on a friend's lexus. Only bad product reviews from other forums are on Lexol products - I've never used/seen them myself though.
  17. I usually use Zaino Leather care products. http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/product/zaino/profeshional_leather_system I get my cloth seats steam cleaned, but never leather. Steam stresses the leather.
  18. Just a bumper bar costs around 500 - I'm guessing this would be around 2-3K for all exterior panels only. I did think about this option once for my previous car, but people in the know advised me against this - it's costly and usually you'd not end up doing the interior bits and it'll look mismatched. A good cut and polish (either DIY or by a professional) will do the job much better and results will be in-line with the age of the car. At max probably get a scratch repair done from a pro along with their cut/polish package to get a good deal.
  19. So, as long as I go 235/40 on front and 265 or 275/35 on rear the Speedo should do fine ? I'd really like to see a car with these - how far to the tyres project past the body on yours - especially on the rear ? I had changed to wider tyres on my previous car, it did feel different at lower speeds, the feedback from the wheel was a bit wierd - good at high speeds though. Did you notice any difference on yours ?
  20. Thanks... Just looking at your siggy - Lot of cars in there... Large family or just nuts for Lexus cars :)
  21. Anyone in Melbourne area having 235(45)/255(65,75) setup on their IS-F ? Would really be interested to have a look before I decide to put a custom size on mine. Currently they are OEM's.
