  1. Sorry dude, would have liked to have met up,but I went down to Alexandra on Friday niteto my brother's 21st. It was a really good nite :D Hope to catch up next time...if there's a next time
  2. Rear speakers are 6"x9"standard, everybody makes them. don't know about the fronts tho. I'm gonna pull them out coz i'm gonna put some others in, i'll tell you then. Don't know about the wattage? 25-30 i think. Corey :D :D
  3. I've got Bilstein adjustables with coilovers. They are fairly stiff, but I wouldn't say harsh. More like sporty. I can throw it into a corner and know i'll always come out the other side. Think the tyres help out aswell. Ride height is set at about 25-30mm lower then normal at the moment. I'll drop it right down for the South Island 4 & Rotary Nationals next month. :D They came with the car when I bought it. Lucky me. B) Corey
  4. Had the same sort of problem in my old WRX. Was a commom problem with them. It was the cam angle sensor, sounds like you have much the same problem. I don't know if anybody else has had any problems with one of these on a 3s-ge. Corey
  5. I also hear what you are saying. My last toy was a S4 Rx7 with TO4B turbo and stage 2 porting etc and going back to any N/A car was a real dissapointment. I first went for the Altezza for the good looks and comfort . I found it took a while to learn how to drive it properly to get the power out of it with the 6 speed, with the power characteristics of the 3SGE theres no way I would want an auto. you are right, I also think they should have come with a 3SGTE. Im going to look into a MR2 engine for the rods, crank, pistons, turbo exhaust manifold and turbo etc, if it will all fit in nicely then hopefully it may save some money. Has anyone else looked into it? Yea, i'm currently in the process of rebuilding my engine. It has a td04h greddy turbo kit. Putting 3s-gte pistons in it to drop compession down to 9:1. Only gonna be running about 7 psi.
  6. Hey Chip, welcome :D R u in chch? Check out tony's tyre service. They did a set of FM 901 dunlop tyres for $215 per tyre, which is a sharp price. They also do great deals on alloy wheels, and packages. They will also match any deal from any other tyre store. Hope u find something u like. ;) Cheers Corey
  7. Hi and welcome :D Great choise in car. What colour, year?

  10. Matt, if u can get me 1 that would b great. If we can sort out $$ payment later that would be even better. Do u hav ne idea how thick a standard 1 is, TRD 1 is, difference i mean? Cheers Corey. ;)
  11. Hey matt, Corey here. How much for a thicker head-gasket for the altezza? I've heard TRD do them. Want to lower the compression a bit. Thanks in advance, Corey. :)
  12. Hey guys, i'm in Christchurch. Is there anybody else down this way? Corey.
  13. Thanks guys, I found something that will do the job. It's a PIVOT speed meter-x, speed meter/limiter cut. It takes speed cut to 350km/h. Also does 0-100, 0-200, 0-300, 0-400 times. It cost $249 NZ which i thought was pretty good. Cheers Corey. B) ;)

  17. Hey guys, I was just wondering if anybody knows how to get rid of the speed cut in altezza's. Will i have to go to the extreme and replace the speedo, with a 260k version? Any suggestions? Cheers Corey ;)
  18. Hey, a turbo kit will only cost about $4000-$5000 fitted. Thats for a Trust-GReddy bolt on kit. U can look at the kit on www.trust-power.com. The only thing u'll need is a new exhaust. ;) P.S. pics of turbo kit & intercooler on gallery 32 :) Price: 230,000 yen for turbo kit and 88,000 yen for intercooler. Cheers Corey
  19. Ok guys, Had the altezza dyno'd today and the figures came out pretty good. The injectors were running up to 97% @ 5000rpm when the cams opened!!! Also anybody looking to get their car tuned or dyno'd, i can recommend gary @ P.A.D Racing, he's done a f**kin awesome job! He has programmes to tune: LINK, MOTEC, + a couple of others. Dyno sheet in gallery 32 if anybody wants a look B) ;)
  20. I'm using Valvoline semi-synthetic 10W-40. Seems pretty good so far.
  21. I no where 2 get a carbon fibre bonnet if u still want 1. Really cheap, $800 NZD. Only thing is it sits about 1mm high at back, but should be able 2 b adjusted down.
  22. I put a picture of my suspension in the gallery. Quite easily adjustable :D Cheers Corey.
  23. Supadupa, I'm getting my car tuned at P.A.D racing on Hands Rd, which is just off Birmingham Drive. Yea, i'm keen 2 meet up, compare notes, etc. :D I no R.E. Sinclair has a 4 wheel dyno and does a bit of tuning of microtech computers, he might have some idea on a motec setup. Gary at PAD racing mite b worth a look also. Cheers Corey B)
  24. I've got a set of Bilstein adjustable coil-overs. Only adjust height though. :)
  25. Hey guys, my car's goin on the dyno on the 10th Dec to fix the fueling problem. Hopefully after all this is done and it's running the way it's supposed2, it should have around 165-180 RWKW (230-245 RWHP). :D I'll add 2 this post when i get the results. p.s. fixed a small problem 2. Tightened some intercooler silicon hose and fixed 2 leaks, now car runs 6 psi boost easily.
