  1. My GSF is dark grey metallic (slate grey I think it’s called) F80 M3 was a beast of a car.....fast, nimble and balanced, with a heap tecchy stuff in it. Not a fair comparison really for the GSF, different type of car. However, the M3 is not a V8 which is what I missed. And I am really enjoying the GSF and I do prefer medium sized cars. I did have an 08 ISF a few cars back which I really thought was so underrated....that was an awesome car so I just have a bigger newer version of that.
  2. I’ve only done bolt on mods so to avoid/limit voiding warranty. I put on an Apexi exhaust midpipe to make it sound better, intake pipe and filter, rr racing heat shield for the intake and rr racing oil/air separator canister. These mods don’t give you a gain in power as such (maybe a little if you believe the sales pitch and Dyno), just make it a bit more responsive. I also installed an Apexi throttle controller which doesn’t add power but makes the throttle so much more responsive..... i would like to install PPE headers but need to save up $’s for that. Tune would be good but I reckon they would see that and void your warranty if you had a power train issue.
  3. Yep more sales as they are great value second hand......been keeping an eye on the price for 6 months as my M3 lease was ending. sold the M3 not long back and got 2018 GSF for a great price......
  4. You can find Version 22 under the IS forum.....which is a 2016 release from my understanding worked in my 09 RX350....I previously had V18
  5. I fitted a Borla axle back. Good sound, no drone. I also changed intake to Joez intake and Toms air filter. no real power increase, just a bit more responsive, but sounds great, deep v8 sound without the full on ear drum piercing sound.
  6. Just go to a rim repair shop.....I had all mine done here in WA and they did a great job....it was about $180 a rim including painting
  7. I didn't notice a difference in noise between the yoko's and the falkens, and the falkens are half the price. Yep agree they handle quite well and they also have decent grip in dry and wet. Good all round tyre for the price. Had them on my F6 too before the ISF.
  8. I got about 40,000km out of Yokohama Advans. Should get 50,000km+ out of the Falken cos there a harder compound (and I drive the car pretty hard) I think their a decent tyre for what they cost $$
  9. ?????. I thought you were asking about an ISF. This question probably belongs in a different forum, IS250/350 forum. I was but the question was moved, now realise the is350 is almost as good for a lot less money, so investigating that now. Almost as good.......lol
  10. Yep same here. I have Falken 452's 245/275 and have no issues
  11. Wheres the best and cheapest place to buy accessories. We have just got a 09/10 RX350 sport luxury (well the Missus has). I'm after a rear bumper protector , seat covers and roof racks and maybe a pod. Cheers
  12. You can get a switch installed to turn off the GPS receiver so you can use the touch screen to programme the GPS etc then switch it back off so the GPS will guide you. The switch will also allow you to watch the DVD while moving.......not that you should lol
  13. Get the Borla axle back exhaust.....easy changeover do it yourself in an hour or so. I got one and it sounds great without being too loud and does not drone. Made the car a bit more responsive And bit more power but no massive performance gain like the other guys are getting with full joez exhausts and other mods. It also has the two offset exhaust tips like the factory mufflers But it sounds bloody awesome for such a relatively cheap mod. Put a free flow air filter in (i have toms) and an intake ( i have joez) and it's a pretty good setup if you don't want to change the whole exhaust like the guys above. It's a good compromise.
  14. graphite (dark metallic grey) 08 A mate I know through work has got one too. He's the reason why I got one. He just updated his 08 ultrasonic blue to a 2011 metallic red In the few years I've owned mine I've only ever seen 4 driving on the streets excluding my mates one. White, blue, hail damaged black one looked heavily modded and another graphite one. What colour is yours? Any mods?
  15. i got one and in Perth.....not many in Perth though....last time i asked the dealer there were less than 12...that was awhile ago now
  16. ....... I did the same thing last week......it pisses me off being so careful and then one slip up.....so i can understand you fixing it. I was thinking of doing the same thing and getting it touched up. Sounds like a good price. Let me kow what you think of the rubber strip
  17. I think its a matter of opinion. I prefer stiff suspension in general and I really like my 08 ISF suspension setup........I just wish it had the mechanical LSD.
  18. Just drive in sport mode and manual mode, come to a corner quite aggressively and change down......you'll hear the engine throttle blip....sounds awesome.....but you don't want to do it on 2nd to 1st down shift Its like the old heal and toe method in a manual car where when you are about to corner, you change down gears (while braking) with an amount of engine throttle as you dip the clutch, so you keep the revs up when selecting a lower gear so to keep in the torque band (higher rev range) of the engine for accelerating out of the corner. "Blipping" the throttle also makes the gearbox select the lower gear more smoothly. Watch V8 supercars when they have the camera on the pedals and you'll see them blip the throttle while braking and changing down, just before they are bout to go round a corner
  19. My OEMs were Yoko Advans. I got 45,000 km (they were quite bald) Just changed to Falken F452, 275/30/19 rear, 245/35/19 front with nitrogen. I don't really notice the difference with nitrogen except the it should remain at the set 40PSi for long periods of time, so the tyre pressure should not deteriorate. Bob Jane did mine. They said 285's were not recommended on 9 inch wide rims and would not fit them. I had to replace rotors and pads at 40,000km. The service guy said I did well, he said that many have had to replace at 20.000km - 30,000km. From memory $2,500 or so.
  20. 99% of the time. As soon as the Oil is warm, its sport mode and manual mode for me
  21. like the suspension setup, not sure about the rims though......
  22. According to the one and only lexus dealer in WA, there is around 10 or so in Perth....... and in the 2 or so years I have had it, I have only seen 3 others driving around, which makes it quite exclusive here in WA
  23. How often do you wash your wheels? Once a month at least
