borna Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 Hey all. Looking at upgrading the 16" grandpa wheels that came with my Prestige. I'm not looking at spending an arm and a leg on original's, possibly replica's. I've had a look around online and some local wheel shops for now. Would anybody know of a good place to have a look in Melbourne? Thanks in advance guys, appreciate the help! :)
ilv1004s Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 chepest wheels you will probably find is 17" or X package 18" wheels anywhere between 600-1000 used anything above that is the sort after F sport/Sports/ISF wheels

wrxhoon Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 If I was you I would keep away from Chinese wheels, especially large diameter , not much tyre to take the shock, easy to break.
borna Posted December 1, 2013 Author Posted December 1, 2013 With all due respect how accurate is that? I've asked a mate working at donnelans saying all these wheels are aus certified. However I have thought about your comment re Chinese. Thanks!

wrxhoon Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 With all due respect how accurate is that? I've asked a mate working at donnelans saying all these wheels are aus certified. However I have thought about your comment re Chinese. Thanks! I don't know where they are made, they could be made in Taiwan ( much better than China), my comment was general but unless you pay big $$ most cheap wheels are Chinese made. As for Aus certified , well so are Geat Wall and Cherry but I'll never drive one! Lots of lexus owners change their wheels, If I was you i would look at some used Lexus wheels 17" or 18", even 18" Lexus Is wheels are fitted with 35 profile tyres at the rear, if you buy 19" you will need 30 profile, you may as well use liquorice. Your 250 is not exacly powerhouse, large heavy wheels will not do it any favours, unsprung weight will not help in handling either.
ilv1004s Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 i have a set of genuine ISF wheels 1500 no tyres these are very cheap

sawndz11 Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Make sure you go 225 or 235 wide tyre max on the front. They like to scrub
