Hi guys

Im planning to get a blackvue dr650 and hardwire it using a power magic pro. Has anyone installed something similar and tell me if I can install the power magic pro in the glovebox of a 2006 is250. Im looking for a hidden install.

I installed a Blackvue DR650 in IS300 3 wires if you get the power box. On the JCE10 I used add-a-circuits from Navara (Autobarn) Just get yourself a test light and look for constant and acc power and your set.

Here's footage of how the front looks like. It needs a polarizing filter otherwise you get dash reflections

I had mine installed under the center console wired to the cigarette lighter. (didn't do it myself). It's neat and completely hidden.

could you please message me where you purchased and installer details. i'm after the same thing

you sure you don't want a FineVu CR500.

I have a brand new one in Sydney I'd be happy to do a mean deal on.

I can supply the hardwire kit too.

RotorRian.

Do you still have a deal on this dash cam?

Hi Chris,

Yes, I can still do you a deal on the CR500HD

Drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do on the pricing for you.

You want just the CR500? Or you need any accessories as well?

Hi rakddon,

That is correct, however it may be easier to wire directly to the overhead console / dome lamp, like motivetronics has suggested,

Than running a wire down the front pillar trim (Airbags fitted), which the trim cannot be easily removed.

(Not without cutting and replacing a clip).

Constant power, ignition and ground are all available on one big @$$ plug.

Plus this method makes it easy peasy to get the wire down through the headlining trim to the camera itself.

Wire colours you will need to use are

Light blue (Pin 5) battery power

White with black stripe (Pin 1) Ground

Green (Pin 27) Ignition Power (optional, use only if you want the cam powered up with the ignition on)

I hope this helps
