I was just wondering if having the aircon on affect acceleration performance at all? I usually only have my aircon on the lowest setting. I've also noticed that when the aircon is turned off my idle rpm drops a little and the car starts to shake a bit, is that normal?

Thanks in advance boys and girls.

Yes it takes a little power and no your car should not shake when you turn it off

I find on my IS350 If aircon set to Auto idle is increased by approx 200rpm even when compressor is off.

If I turn off aircon button revs drop and mine also gets a bit rougher at idle.

It shouldn't affect much unless pump is engaged economy wise.
