Fuel, Oil And Distance

Ok I really want to know the first question but these are important to,

1. What oil do people use? (I have some brand I never heard of)

2. How much does it cost to fill your car altezza or Lexus (please state which car)

3. How many km to a tank of gas (city driving mainly or highway driving)

Some of these questions have been asked before but im to lasy to find them and we have more members now

My responces:

1. Omex petrol oil 15w/40 CFSH (whatever the heel that is) anyone know?

2)$75.00 n BP Ultimate 98

3)350-380km urban

450-500km highway

1) Shell Helix (Came from the dealer)

2) highest so far has been $68 with BP's 98

3) Only done short trips so far and I'm at 190 K's with 60% of my petrol left (according to the gauge ;) )

Oil -unknown

Petrol - around $60 for BP 96 Octane

Km's 400-500 , thats about 50%city 50% highway

If its from your dealer it will be Shell Helix, Toyota and Shell have some kind of agreement setup...

1) Mobil 1 (My choice :) )

2) around $55 at Shell, 96 Octane

3) 50% highway, 50% city, 470kms

2) Shell Optimax - average fill ~ $40-$50 AUD

3) Approx. 500km city driving.

Matt,

I had the car re-trimmed by the dealer at the time of purchase....so it was "packaged" into the price of the car. I recall the dealer mentioning it was around $1000 AUD.

Possibly....it was over 3 years ago. Maybe the $1000 was for another item. I just located the sales invoice and it only contains a list of options/accessories with "INCL" besides each one.

Do you not already have leather in your IS?

1] Penzoil high grade oil..from AW Performance..

2] About 65 bucks of synergy 8000 and a octain booster(not to sure if it works though the boostr that is.)

3]average 11.0L/100km but i got a ledfoot.

1/ Shell Helix 10w40, (Have always used it in my road bike and other cars)

2/ $55 to $65 on 98 octane

3/ 500 ish kms only county driving as I live in the sticks.

3. On a recent trip from Palm Nth to Auck used 3/4 Tank. Highway running we get around the 550km per tank.

Rotorua and back this weekend, 120kph on all the back roads (including the Miranda one we went over on Waitangi day)-

(the speed limit is 100 kp/h in N.Z ( I just found that out the other day)

Hehe, i don't have a cutout anymore.

Car pulls about 6000 rpm in top gear...well thats all i've tested it 2.

I think i'll be looking at shell helix for the new engine, since quite a few of the guys here are running it :D
