Rs200 Vs Mazda 6
stephenc replied to Driver's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 / Toyota Altezza Club
Unless your friend's rotary is untuned, I don't like your chances ;) -
Dude...everyone has their own taste, you reacted too seriously!!! Matt :) Groupbuy for fluffy dice for the rear view mirror?

Do not forgot those that like no emblems :D for that smooth look B)

April Groupbuy
stephenc replied to frylai's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 / Toyota Altezza Club
Both are self-adhesive. Eyelids will come with an adhesive backing. To remove old emblems, heat slightly with a hair dryer and use dental floss. Remaining adhesive can be polished away. Don't lever off the old emblems using a screw driver :( -
Hmmmm...spare parts :P :D

Seen them in stores in HK. In my opinion, it doesn't do the Lexus justice ;)

The spoiler on the Yellow IS is a Lexus front skirt (in Australia) suitable for the standard bumper. Original Bumper It is not a "Legana" front skirt. The Legana kit does not have a lower bumper skirt, but a complete front bar. Legana Front Bumper And the rear skirt is part of the Australian "Legana" kit. Hope that helps :) I actually don't have the rear skirt, its the rear wing I have on my tail, I'm thinking its a standard Lexus Australia part..... Yes, rear boot spoiler looks like Lexus....as with mine.

Latest Mods Review

Those LEDs may not be a good for the number plate lights. Don't you find them too directional? Try them first to see if they light up the plate. I bought the same PIAA LEDs, but in blue for the headlamps. Very nice light and colour...goes well with the black chrome....but too bright at night. They are too obvious and not legal. Have previously been pulled over by the police in Chatswood just having a small blue neon stick on the dash! I will find another use for the blue LEDs bulbs and replaced the front park lights with PIAA bulbs. Still blue but not as obvious. -

Good to hear it all works! Did you end up using the PIAA LEDs? -
Parts & Accessories
stephenc replied to stephenc's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 / Toyota Altezza Club
I got the volume 64 the newer one, I might buy the 43 later in the future!!! Matt :) They are a good source for parts. Do you know how often they are updated? -
For those that are interested in parts and accessories for Lexus IS & Altezza, I would recommend looking through Hyper Rev's Altezza book (Vol 43). I have a copy and it contains parts by category and brand/make. Contact details are also provided. However, the book is in Japanese.....with the photos and prices, it's not too difficult to understand ;) Hyper Rev Altezza Book

Fuel, Oil And Distance
stephenc replied to 4ROLLN's topic in Lexus IS200 / Lexus IS300 / Toyota Altezza Club
Possibly....it was over 3 years ago. Maybe the $1000 was for another item. I just located the sales invoice and it only contains a list of options/accessories with "INCL" besides each one. Do you not already have leather in your IS? -

1) 10W30 Motor Oil - from Lexus (service) 2) Shell Optimax - average fill ~ $40-$50 AUD 3) Approx. 500km city driving. Just a matter of interest, how much did you pay to get your car Leathered in AU??? Matt :D Matt, I had the car re-trimmed by the dealer at the time of purchase....so it was "packaged" into the price of the car. I recall the dealer mentioning it was around $1000 AUD. -

Pics With Eyelids

I arrived back from my HK trip this morning. I have your eyelids here.....I can drop them off if you want them before this weekend. I bought the Toms version and had them painted in HK...much cheaper there. Since I had to order yours, there was not enough time to arrange for painting. The store arranged to have mine painted for around $280 HKD = $47AUD! Toms Eyelids Also installed the black chrome rear lamps.....you should have yours by now. Black Chrome Rear Lamp And your 'other' toy shouldn't be far behind ;) That means the painting will cost around $52NZD, not cheap at all...I can get my Grille painted here for $70 at one of the best Panel Beater in the country, I wonder why I cost so much in HK, did you ask then to do it ASAP? Matt :) It was a couple of days turn around time. I was worried if there was a problem with the finish, I could return it back to the store. Saved me the trouble of getting it done back in Australia. I know some painters here won't touch them as it not worth their effort to mix small portions of paint. Actually very pleased with the finish considering they didn't have the car to compare the paint that they mixed from the paint code. -
