  1. I think the k&n can be used/fitted on either side, so unless the overall shape is the same it'll still work. $170 is expensive thought.
  2. They're not useless but you need to also look at suspension to be able to get the most out of it.
  3. How much were the oem 18" package then and how much are they now?
  4. What are your tyres? are they same front and rear?
  5. The point is for better airflow and lifetime filter. All about maintenance for my baby.
  6. Yeh i'm concern about the gutters too but i recon if i the right tyres it should be ok. Are yours the 18" oem ones?
  7. What dealer did your car repairer go through? I'm going to cancel my appoinment this week cos it's going to rain and i want to make sure the sound can be heard properly.
  8. Doing your own oil changes, pressumably every 5000Ks and go to the Dealers for the 15000K interval services? Does anyone do this or do you just take it to the dealer? I am told that each visit to the dealer costs from 450-500+ which is damn expensive just for lubes.
  9. Anyone got one for their Is250, how much and where to get it? What is the part number?
  10. Found these on bigotyres.com.au site. Looks extremely close to the oem ones. http://bigotyres.com.au/showcase/index.php...products_id=348
  11. I will be very satisfy if they actually do it. Last thing i want is for them to steal my $60 Mobil 1 oil and put in the oem Toyota one wich could be this
  12. I doubt the oil is made specifically for the car (which i know you know also). I know that it's not ALL about brands but alot has to do with regular maintenance but i just think oem oil are not as good as top brand oils for day to day performance running. I prefer to do it myself too.
  13. Well i'm planning to just have around 60km left on the display before they pick it up. The other thing is, has anyone neg. with the serviceman that when they service the car, they could use your preferred oil e.g Mobil 1, instead of oem toyota oil that i assume they'd use?
  14. As much as i don't like people handling my car without my presence, it has to go back to the dealer for rattle fixes (left dashboard/air vent area). Tbis is the first time and all i know is that they will give me a courtesy car, but yeh does anyone have any opinion on the process or other?
  15. It was either going to be BMW or LExus for me. There was a comparo between the 325 and 1s250 by Wheels and not even the 325i measure up to the lexus. Why pay for 80K when you can get more by paying 60K odd? What color is your leather cos i too am looking for leather protection. I got ivory/cashmere. I might just get a cushion in the meantime just to help ease the creases and marks on the seats. Whereabouts are you located?
  16. Before buying the is250, i was at a BMW dealer test driving the 320 but my hearts was always with the lexus. I bought the lexus for it's value and performance over the 320. When i drove the lexus i thought the engine was like no other car's i've driving. It was smooth and felt like it had variable gear changes, the power and quietness it delivers really impesses me. The interior felt very luxurious as expected with the seats being how i wanted them to be (full electric and heat/cool feature). Although my interior is ivory i think black would have been better (with black you cannot see how old and dirty it is). I'm not tall either but i got the height to 80% max and it's enough for me. Having the seat up makes it harder to get off without creasing the side of the seats. I'm am planning to get a sit-in pillow to help minimise the wear and tear of the leather. As i bought the prestige, the handling wasnt all that great, the car felt a little 'boaty' during cornering no thanks to 16s wheels and soft springs. I was dissapointed that the boot does not automatically open up fully like the RX 4wd's. My only mod will be to get 18s and maybe lower the car.
  17. Yes i remember now, the second setting is for the rear Thanks.
  18. I couldnt figure out the difference between the two settings. Can someone tell me?
  19. You may well be the only one here with the Sports model.
  20. You are right about the offset, and i agree about them not looking their best sitting too in. Thanks for the info on same spec front and rear as i will be looking to get same just different wheels. I have asked tempe tyres yet what the offset of this is but i really like it. 18x8
  21. Omg, so expensive for the kit. I don't know if i can afford them. I'm saving for a set of 18s (aftermarket cos oem would be over 5K). Can you post pics of your car, love to see them on.
  22. It's all about economy vs performacing turning. Dual vvti allows for extra fuel economy and better emission. I was abit dissappointed that the is250, with it's new engine lineup didnt come with Lift. Vtec is still my fav. with the s2000 toping the list of affordable performace cars.
  23. That's pretty good, given they're oem wheels. Have you got quotes for tyres and what brand?
  24. I didn't think there was a standard spoiler (lip or other) in any range? Melbourne Lexus showcase the kit as accessories.
  25. What model of cars would let you wash and what models dont lol? I wash my car not too often but i do it behind closed doors, and quickly too....using a bucket.
