  1. Dude, you are going to some wrong places to look for cars or what? Now what you are getting desperate, the last thing you should do is jump into buying something you will regret. I'd take a couple of weeks break and think what you really want and suit your family. You'd want quality and safety for the family. You'd want value for money. You'd want a LEXUS FFS...lol.
  2. So Bendix pads are dust-free. If not, i'm happy if they give off as much as the oem rears. Also what sort of mileage will the these pads give with slotted rotors, given i'm a conservative driver?
  3. You can be forgiven for driving a slow car if the car is an SUV. The other option is to go for a european secondhand euros i wouldn't trust the quality and there's also the cost of maintenance factor.
  4. I thought the type and brand of pad was the primary (not solely) cause. Harder pads gives more performance braking but eat into your rotors more than softer ones.
  5. Besides the cleaning, what about the pads eating into the discs at just 36000K. :( My camry i can't remember when i changed pads but damnn it's over 100 000K i recon.
  6. i'm not after performance pads, any pads that lasts and do not give out dust is ok with me.
  7. Yeh the grinding is continuous now so i have no choice. The rear is still good for another 20 000Ks i recon :(
  8. I didn't think pads would be that much. I did mentioned the slotted not standard rotors.
  9. I think there are only two types, standard and slotted. Go to dba website. I won't get it done till 3 more weeks.
  10. I'm getting mine done at Pedders (slotted type and Bandexs)for just under 900 big ones. Anyone has any thoughts?
  11. bodykitskingdom is selling it for $300 + 50 shipping. http://www.bodykitskingdom.com.au/06-spt.htm Anyone deal with them before?
  12. So 450 was unpainted that means another 100 to paint...still cheaper than 8fithdy. I recon lip only with no trunk spoiler would look badass.
  13. Pics for the 6K? When you take it, do with macro and without macro cos one of these option are hard to tell of the color.
  14. I'm not much of a spender when it comes to wax and polishes. I wish i had gotten a clear bra when i bought my car. I would clear bra everything and just use whatever solution it is for cleaning clear bra. It might be cheaper in the long run. That and also, clear bra protects like no other.
  15. dump a 2jz into my is250? where did u get this idea from? why would i dump it in there when i got a perfectly good engine to work with.. here's a hint: research b4 u talk.. theres already a few 2jz is250s in aus blue, the "disgusting" car i posted has a front mount intercooler...every engine has it's limitations s/c or turbo will lift that limitations. So the japanese cartoon is abit but, it's just paint, it'll be a hell of a car if it was just ... black or silver or white. Until my car looks this disgusting (minus the paint), i won't be shouting to everyone hey i got a unique car.
  16. Definition of the word unique.... http://www.answers.com/topic/unique That being, it is a "unique" car nonetheless. You started a topic with title "Slowly Making A Unique Is250". Not sure what your car will look like in the end but if you want it to look unique you haven't started in the right direction i wouldn't think. What are your ideas?
  17. This is what i would called unique. The owner might have started off with puddle lights who knows ....
