  1. Don't know when i will install my aftermarket 6000K, maybe after i get the car serviced (30000K). As soon as it is done i'll post some pics. There is a youtube on xenonsupply.com, looks pretty easy.
  2. Yes, i put in the request to amend the order, amongst time of high ecstacy. Openned up the box and it's 6K, although the receipt had 8K. As our lense does not have a blue tinge, i recon this 6K will be white-as, but we'll soon find out i guess.
  3. Ok here is my 2 cents. It all boils down to what you want your car to look like or be like. If you're after springs, go with either Tiens or H & R (for low drop), Tanable or F Sports (for conservative drop). I got Tanabe springs and they are a perfect ride, not too low but alright. If you are gonna go for wheels, i'd consider 19s over 18s for that extra gap-fill. And if you go for 19s, i recon you should get coils as with coils you can alter the drop to how you like it (without fearing camber issue as the coils you buy would have camber F&R adjustments).
  4. I missed out on last meet due to time constraints. The earlier on in the day the more chance i can come.
  5. knowing u ur gonna regret it hard i recon u knowing me, that you "recon" i'm gonna regret this $130 purchase hard? the only recon here is that i recon you don't really know me.
  6. Who's saying you need to get my approval or others? ####? You love the way it looks, good for you. Just that this is a forum, and people have different views and opinions which they can express. What is wrong with me saying i am suprised to see you have opted for this sort of style/setup? Edited by Moderator.
  7. No you don't but i wasn't just referring to HIDs.
  8. The standard kit from xenonsupply. I don't have a fat wallet so i just get entry level stuff. Rather save my money on other things.
  9. They were tight, no thanks to "arnold schwarzenegger" (person that put them on initially). I had thoughts about 19s before, but wasn't sure about the ride, so at the time i thought better to be safe. As for not getting wheels from tempe, i dont have no comments on that. As i said before i am surprised he opted for that style/setup on an IS but to each their own. I just think they suit S2Ks, NSXs, GTRs etc....these are not luxury cruisers. That's just my 2 cents. Ps. If you find anything in my replys that suggests or implies that i think they look *BLEEP*, let me know.
  10. ...as with me, i don't get sway by others, i have my own views and i don't sit on fences. don't know about sticking with OEM when yah modding...
  11. No and No, why you ask? The longest i ever kept a set of aftermarket wheels is 1.5 years. Might upgrade to 19s soon.
  12. Well If i had your wallet, do you think i not go with ... RAYS? Looks are subjective danny and people have differnt views and oppinions, what you think may look bad others might like and vice versa. Money and brand names unfortunately can't buy views and opinions. Go easy on people who don't have a fat wallets dude.
  13. You haven't explicity ask for opinions or comments so safe not to say much. Can i just say, I'm surprised you opted for this look...i wouldve thought perhaps these might suit a soarer more than an IS250.
  14. Cevu's answer was backed up with real live experience on his IS250 (this was what i was after), yours was somewhat based on theory (or from what you see on another car), unless you too had 8000K on your IS and came across the same experience as Cevu, then both replies are not the same. The effect of 8000K can differ depend on brand or bulbs, and on the types eg H4 vs D4S. Can also vary car to car. Don't take it wrongly, i'm not blaming anyone one bit, just that after i posted i had ordered the kit, people started being non passisve in their views. My immediate reply then was information only not an attack on anyone.
  15. Chris besides your 20 August 2010 - 07:23 AM reply the rest are hardly what i called concrete views. I know the higher the K the more blue the effect, and the higher the K the less the bright...these are theory. Cevu last reply is what i called concrete. Yes i used google but i prefer those with real experience here in Oz. Anyway, lets see what becomes, the bulbs can be changed. Ps. I had PIAA bulbs in my previous car and from your chart, it looks like the 8000K effect. They are bluey but not that blue so..
  16. Guys, these replies are abit late ay, I did ask for opinions yet none gave me a direct reply.
  17. Regret that i should have got 4300k or regret that it's from xenonsupply? I don't see the point of getting HIDs 4300K if the output is just brighter than my halogen. I chose 8000K cos i wanted a different output, not white if you know what i mean.
  18. Hmm have to think about when the HID arrived. Xenonsupply HID 8000k ordered! :)
  19. I don't get the high pitch noise at start up, what i'm hearing is when the car isn't warmed up there is a "winding clock" sound but only during acceleration. The effect goes way when the engine is fully warmed.
  20. So the IS's oem HID is different to the Evos, Euros cos these are not slight tinge from any stretch of the imagination? By different i meant in the colour it produced be it lense or bulbs or combo of both.
  21. Anyone know if the caps/housing that you drill a hole for the wires to go through, can be bought at the dealers as parts?
  22. 4300K are those Evos? they are blue man...gotto be around 6000K. Not after super bright cos bright can blind.
  23. $40US shipping + the kit. Which to get the premium or the standard?
