  1. Nice and clean cars, not like mine atm :( Dan, coils man? how about some details?
  2. Is the car a Prestige? I remember when i put on 18s, felt weird and slow at first but i soon forgot how it rides like on 16s once i dropped the car. Dropping the car has other benefits too ...unless you get Works or expensive light weight wheels, going bigger will almost always be slower.
  3. For me it isnt becos of the 18s and drop that caused the annoyances. The beauty (not) of it all is when you go over things on the road (from cracks, potholes, etc) you don't know what sound and where the noise will be, untill you it's heard. You can be going over massive holes and it's silent with just a thumo from the tyre. You can go over a small crack line and it goes nuts....
  4. It's not that bad, but my 96 Camry doesn't have the same sort of rattles. Accord Euros are the only car i've driven that are rattle free...the one i drove anyway.
  5. I sorta give up on the rattles. It's the glove box, speakers and dash areas that causes the annoying rattles for me. Oh how i'll will give my left nut for sound proof driving, the only sound I want to hear are that of my tyres going over humps.
  6. So what did you end decided to do, or not do?
  7. Pointless? The point of lowering spring is to lower the car...that's the point.
  8. Someone bought the H&R springs off goodwill, for $250 i recon it's a steal. Tell me that's you Chris.
  9. Goodluck on getting this off the ground man, the Tein springs group buy which sets back only $400 per person even that failed. Can't see a groupbuy for anything more getting started. Best you just buy something local yourself.
  10. I hate to spend $1300 odd on what looks like a budgeted brand set of coilovers only to find out it's not rear adjustable. I'm sure danny knows, if not his mates will. Nothing comes cheap when it's "adjustable". I guess there is aways the camber kit if you choose to "waste money" (spending less and wasting money, not sure how that could make sense) and just get Teins springs or something.
  11. Silver's NEO MAX -Pillow Ball/Camber Tops. http://www.shiftperformance.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=80_125_327&products_id=990&products_name=Silver's NEO MAX -Pillow Ball/Camber Tops&category_name=Silver's Down in Toyota list, is250 is included, but is the Pillow Ball/Camber Tops only for Front or both Fronts and Rear?
  12. Found this on CL regarding BC coils. Maybe needs some clarifications for those thinking of getting it. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/suspension-and-brakes/507815-they-told-me-no-camber.html
  13. As for the forum and communitty, i dont see much happening other than me and k2sty1 whoring and bitching....this is between me and him really. If anyone want to join in on the madness, please do so, but know the boundaries as i'm sure he and i do. Want me to stop, i will. But i don't see how being passive or not posting...helps the forum grow.
  14. Why would it be 3.5 years when i only decide and do it in 2 weeks? When did you buy your car and have first thought about what mods you would get, and how long did it eventuated? This is what i mean. When anyone decides to do this and that, and say it, then they should do it...otherwise all talk no action and i know you agree on that. Not having a go with k2sty1 for being young, when i was 17 y.o i dont talk like him, my first car was a civic, bought it and have wheels and drop within 1 week (which was when i still have pocket money from my parents, and my parents were poor)...no indecisions, not dreaming about anything...just do it with whatever money i had at the time. No point in talking about BMW or Merc when all i had was enough to buy a civic.
  15. I only saw a few R35s to date, and to be honest with you the ones i saw, its drivers are like bold headed guys and or look like they are in their 40s...ie company managers or something. Have not seen a young driver yet. Evos and Sti, there are alot of young owners about....non of whom looks to be over 30 y.o :D As for the IS200, other than the high kms and history of the car, I'd buy it if i have 17K and look to spend 5K on essential mods...hectic first car if you know what i mean.
  16. Not meaning to say you can or can't talk about it in the Hitler ways. I meant it from a mature way. 17s and thinking about R35 Evo 10 etc is abit like 18 and joining QSR cruise club. :D Ok so i have my 250 for 3.5 years now, told myself from day one i leave it stock to when it's a bit older. Now 3.5 years on, i think it's old enough for essential mods...when i saw the group buy Teins thread i said i'm in but i wanted Tanabe...made up my mind and stuck to it. I went from not modding my car (not one thing) to wheels and drop within 3 weeks (the 3rd week was the shipping wait lol). I like to see alot of "said and do", in record time if you know what i mean lol.
  17. $7K insurance is unheard of for me lol but i hear you. But I'm also hearing this intro bit. I suppose it comes down to people's own circumstances...for me if i can i'd go that extra mile :) There is only two ways if you ask me. Don't go talking about Nissan GTR R35, BMW M3 E46, Nissan 200SX, Mitusubishi Evo IX or X, Subaru WRX STi, if you only 17 and have a restricted life. Talk about it when you're older and with no such life restrictions. Or talk about it when you have made an order to get one of them.
  18. At the end of the day, if you are paying that much, some will say what's a grand more? I'd certainly give it a try but if i can't i'll just be happy with it. Don't wanna waste time.
  19. Have u done it yet cevu? http://www.clublexus.com/forums/5552253-post1.html
  20. The days of price negotiations are long gone. So are the days of freebies..not even a Lexus pen can be given.
  21. Is it safer to change to longer studs and not use the spacer's studs? I'm thinking the stress from using spacer studs is more than if you use a single longer quality stud.
  22. That's a ashame cos for the price, and reason size (not overly large), i recon it was a goer.
