  1. Paying around $900 with Real Insurance - 30yr North West Sydney. They were the cheapest by far and that's not even raising the excess. I hate insurance, if you don't get any use out of it, it just seems like such a waste. But, we buy it anyway. I think i'm due again in a few months
  2. So... did everyone get their Life & Luxury Lexus newsletter today??? There's a small article saying that people have already bought the IS350 :D and awaiting delivery later this year.
  3. Sadly... no. It will be much higher than that. The 250 SL is $85000 drive away. If you include the additional bullsh1t Australian import charges / taxes this will see it start more so around $100k. It will fill the gap between 250 & F.
  4. Yea I'm not having it, I don't think it's legit. They are minor changes easy enough for any modder to achieve. The steering wheel looks cheap and crappy. Not sure on the LED's; no need copy every other car maker. And... why would it be in China?
  5. At Sydney City Lexus? I only work around the corner, i gotta drop in tomorrow 4 sure.
  6. I like where you're heads at! After all they have a great set of...... empty car spaces
  7. Yea, but one problem - it will look like crap. It's a Lexus, not an '82 corona Sadly, we're stuck with the carpet for now; unless if you wanna go for the custom look :D Do you think they can print Lexus on these?
  8. f-sport sewell? sexy. pricey tho The US Left Hand Drive mats will not fit. I asked Sewell about a year ago and had the same issue of no RHD. I also called Sydney City Lexus and at the time, they didn't sell genuine lexus rubber mats. It doesn't look as though Sewell has added a RHD in that time either - the FSport is LHD only. Driving every day sees the carpet wear quite quickly and looks tacky, and i'm the same I don't want to go aftermarket rubber, they won't fit and look crap. Guess i'll just change the carpet ones when they really turn to crap.
  9. No need for RWD???? U kidding! That's what makes the Lexus brand stand out amongst the others. It's not only about power, but corner handling and in the wet. I hate FWD; but each to their own ay. I'll still be keen on the next gen IS. Bring it on!
  10. There are a few F-Sport Intakes on eBay, all from US. I enquired a few months back and was quoted $60 postage. For the springs & sways, I haven't seen them anywhere else yet. With the Aus dollar falls of late, you might be better of getting them from a local dealer or hurry up and buy O/seas before the $ falls even further.
  11. Na i'll be busy that month, maybe August 2021. Na seriously, I'm keen for end June 2010 :D
  12. I'd be keen guys, how about last weekend June? I may struggle to get there in July, but would be keen to catch up.
  13. After a few days of posting and looking at the images; I still can't get my head around that this would come from Lexus. It's weak and I think they've rushed into getting this in the market to compete with BMW & VW compact markets. From this, I think the VW will still win hands down.
  14. Listed on Lexus Au Website yesterday (only a few months away) ----------------------------------------------------------- LEXUS IS350 SETS PERFORMANCE BENCHMARK Tuesday, 18 May 2010 LEXUS IS 350 SETS PERFORMANCE BENCHMARK Lexus' forthcoming IS 350 sedan will develop the highest specific output of any of its naturally aspirated six-cylinder rivals when it launches late this year. IS 350's powerful 3.5 V6 will develop 233kW, attaining a specific output of 67.4kW per litre - the highest among its competitors and the highest of a petrol engine in the Lexus range. IS 350 will also feature the greatest torque of any of its naturally aspirated rivals - with 378Nm of torque available at 4800 rpm. Lexus Australia chief executive Tony Cramb said IS 350 continues Lexus Australia's push into new market territories. "IS 350, along with CT 200h and other forthcoming product, will continue to grow Lexus' product range and appeal to consumers," he said. "IS 350 is evidence of our moves to widen our product range and close up a few gaps that exist there, with IS 350 slotting nicely between IS 250 and our performance flagship IS F. "We have no doubt that, with its new 3.5-litre engine and features, IS 350 will be a very popular vehicle," Mr Cramb said. "We are just as excited about this car as our customers are." The Lexus IS 350 will launch in the final quarter of 2010. -----------------------------------------------------------
  15. I know it's a little off the IS250 topic, but... CT200H - Lexus Au Website Not sure how long this has on the Lexus AU website; but I stumbled across it tonight and from first look; I don't like it. For many reasons... - Front Wheel Drive - ahh duh. Massive backward step and puts the BMW 1 series even further ahead in the compact car market. - Wheels. They look like the the current IS Sports Luxury that have been around for years. They could have seriously raised the bar here... but no. Easy fix though - non standard. - Rear end design. Looks like a mini van. Not a fan; but the rest of the design is quite nice. - Interior / dash. Sure, I'm an IS driver and I love my car; but you won't see me step into this from my IS. May just have to wait till the 2012 IS. I know it sounds like i'm quite negative, but I would seriously consider buying a Lexus Hybrid given things were stepping in the right direction. I feel that not all is the case with the new CT200H. Available within 12 months.
  16. Good to know, I might ask about this and see if it really is necessary. How have you found the fuel economy? I'm huge on keeping the averages down.
  17. Yea I usually get the calls; I even had one last week following up as the next service is due in a few weeks. Too many calls can become annoying, but it's good to keep it at front of mind and its a good service from Lexus overall.
  18. I'm happy with a meet; still haven't been able to catch up with u guys yet at the last few.
  19. WOW, where did you get that at? Chatswood charged around $550 for 30k. I got my 45k coming up in the next month or two; will be interesting.
  20. What made you think that? I've used both non-genuine/aftermarket & the MY10 factory fitted USB plug and the factory USB plug set up is better than an iPod specific plug as it give you the flexability of using both iPod & other memory storage devices. Plus it displays better on the screen. Also the factory system gives you better functionality with a more extensive iPod menu. Just tested this. When you receive a call or dial a call, the music just fades out and you can just take the call on speakers like normal. When the call ended the music fades back in. Cool stuff. AWESOME!!!
