What exactly does an lsd do, I should know by now, I've done a fear few drifts and heavy acceleration leading to loss of traction (skids) in the past and im pretty dam sure mine has a lsd from the way in which it reacts and its a 1999. please be careful when attempting this for your first time (on closed circuits obviously ;) ;) ), as I nearly rode my car off going around a corner in the the wet, grabing a generous amount of clutch and dumping it!!!.......not again.
can anybody confirm, a RS200z has a model number GF-SXE10-AEFVF-Z , the Z is my reason for thinking this model number is the Z version obviousily, this is the top number on the vin plate.........?????
Cant find any info on this on internet.
cheers

This is the little plug thing right? Hmm, might be, Mine was a bit bodgy, just punched a hole on the rubber bend, and stuck it in, its not air tight, but its tight. Also, the breather tube, is not in either.
Yeah its just a little black plug thingy, it probably should be air tight but I spose it depends on how it is attached to the pipe, or yes the breather tube may be the cause.
If you are having continued trouble and arn't to sure, I guess the simplest thing to do is put the old filter back in , conect up and see if the problem is cured, but thats a pain in the arse..........so I would check the air flow sensor again and...............
just had a thought, on mine the breather tube was tied up eg bend it over and tie it so it is blocked off as there is no place to stick it on most filter kits.. If lucky this might help.
cheers...

hopefully it was nothing then man but if it was, you could be in for a new clutch or just possibly something to do with the air flow sensor again, which again might be a possibility.
let us know if you have any more probelms.

good stuff man, happy its running sweet for you, nothing worse than when your cars not running right..........

I've got an Apexi filter, between 3000 - 4000 is probably where the main power occurs before change over, if your foot is fully down it doesn't sound as bad, but under limited acceleration mine also makes a nasty noise but then sounds better when duel Vvti kicks in.
Also I wouldn't expect it to act much differen after putting on the filter e.g the car shouldn't react in a negative way, I'm pretty sure I have never reset the computer, on most cars the computer will slowly change after driving it for a while, but if you are having probelms then it could be a good option.
I would check the sensor again because if it isnt installed properly or at all, it will make the motor run crappy....
So do you have the air sensor conected to the filter?

I'd say there's something wrong with the scales, some scales only work with large loads as such so i've been told. For example if you way yourself, it will say you weigh 20 kg's or something which is nice to say but not really correct.
Hey GuysHad my RS200Z weighed today on Knight and Dickeys weighbridge just out of interest for when I get my RSM. I had just under half a tank of fuel and with me out of the car and it was 1350kg. Pretty much where the japs reckon. Maybe Greeneyes is a lightweight version or something. Did the japs do a lghtweight race version like the mitsi evo rs or the suby RS?
that definately sounds right Hoon
maybe you've got a unique vehicle "greeneyes"

Im sure thats wrong as the factory figure were something like 1360 which is what my apexi is tuend to. Will look on net again but I found the same weight figure in lots of places when I looked. Maybe yours is a light weight edition
But man I gotta get mine weight fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very intersting to line them both up one day....
Will be interesting when I kick your arse
P.S just stiring , your car would probably beat mine with those 0 - 100's

ST HITEC are possibly the best people to go to for perfromance parts. I have got a bit of stuff of them as they know what they are talking about!!!
They are more low key compared to other places like advanced imports but the owner is very knowledgable of all Japenese engines and tuning. He's possibly the only person I would trust to work on my car so thats why I make the 1 and 1/2 hour trip down there to get stuff!!
A lot of other people and now going to him as the word gets around but if you look at some of the cars featured in performance car you will notice in the Thanks column, ST HITEC, as I have only just relized.
But also he doesn't get cheap stuff its the quality japenese brands and his prices are good but the stuff by nature isn't the cheapest way to go!!!
Well thats enough marketing for them!!!!!

Yes thats me!!!
So you are from Hamilton then "SnowwolF".......
I may have seen your car a few times driving to uni when your going the other way I think.....
