well with the duel vvti there was not really options availble because of the engine type.............

Do you know where or what brands you can get?

I've got around 163kw now untuned without an exhaust system! have consistantly got this figure from my rsm my than once.

Im kind of hoping 170+ kw after an exhaust system and tuning which I think is obtainable. :o

I've got one on my car but not really tuned yet, will be when I eventually get a exhaust!

well whats your question then, its a electronic computer that over rides the standard computer and adjusts air/fuel ratios to give more power.

I'm probably going to offend some people by saying this, but I was going to get rid of the tail light covers on my Tezza when i bought it but it grew on me, now i actually prefer the covers.

Half of the new cars that you can buy now have a ripoff of the altezza style lights as well as every 2nd lancer or civic, just not as unique as they were. Nearly everyone now has what was one of the most distinctive features of the car.

Just my 2 cents.

Altezzas a definately very nice cars though, people are always checking them out - one person pulled up beside me at ~ 105 kph on the motorway to take a photo of my ride! You wont regret buying one.

every time I see a civic, mitsi or suby I just tell myself at least I have an altezza to go with my tail lights... then i laugh at them when I catch them looking

Totally agree with Aaron, just my 02 cents I do not care if Civic wannabes have them because we can tell they are fake right away anyways...lol

definately a good opportunty to but a plate cheaply, I've done it before. This is my 5th plate ive bought!

my covers are still on, I think it is a change from most altezza;s without covers!

Plus if anyone wants to buy a personalised plate as discussed above check out this link for a group buy where you only pay $339 which is a big saving. only two more people needed. I am "flyevo" on the mitsubishi posts and am signed up for a plate!!!

to be honest, has anyone actually had any problems with altezza's, apart from the gear box clunk and brake clunk, i've not heard of any problems? "knocking on wood"

Love these forums and appreciate all the work that goes into maintianing them but I cant even add new pics to the garage and have had trouble with avatar lately.

As far as AA goes they are pretty good, however seroius problems usally cant be seen without opening up the engine or thereforth. The AA should be able to spot major problems or advise of the overall condition from a general degree.

The AA down here in hamilton have been decent in previous years. usually you should be alright, its with fresh imports that a problem can come down the track and unnoticable with 1st inspections.

The only people ive heard talking about the AA not being so good is Aucklanders, but I have to question their inspections aswell but as previously said, without taking stuff to parts you cannot guarentte no problems.

However a good mechanic should be able to listen to engine noises, test drive the car for any obvious wear and tear and visually inspect for any concerns.

yeah I guess I would be expecting around 110 up to 130 at the wheels aswell but maybe I will have to think about this again!!!

even though 99.6kw doesnt seem much at the wheels, it probably is a pretty decent figure. Ive heard of wrx's and similar hp turbo's with less than 100 at the wheels.

comparisons of other altezza's would definately be interesting!

no flex but im 99% sure its fibre glass! why do you ask?

I thought the japanese stuff would be not fibreglass but thats apparently how most of them are!

is very good quality in comprasion to previous bumpers ive had and most Nz fibreglassng
