Sad but true...buying an ISF doesn't make you an instant VIP. :) -
Congrats. keep us posted on your new ride. The one thing I do like about the CT is that you can change the tachometer gauge to power gauge which is cool.

Tyres Have Suddenly Started Rumbling
Lexo replied to satz's topic in General Lexus Discussions Forums
Good luck Satz. It's unusual for a fairly new set of tyres to rumble. Are you getting any vibrations in your steering? Please let us know your findings. The Yoko Parada Spec-X is what I was going to replace my bridgestone with since it is ranked one of the best on tirerack. I'm not so sure now that I heard about your issues. I got a quote from my local Yoko tyre store for $315/each. -
I saw one on the road yesterday. Besides the 'Look At Me' DRL which is interupted by the HID headlights and fatty rear end, the front/side profile has a resemblance to the Corolla. There is a review on youtube and the 0-60MPH is clocked at 10.2s and that was in Performance Mode.

My010 - Rx450H With Ame 20" Wheels
Lexo replied to NSXsan's topic in Lexus RX400h / RX450h / RX500h Club
I didn't think interior LEDs are so much brighter than standard globes. I've seen them on ebays alot. Did you bought them from ebay or elsewhere? -
My010 - Rx450H With Ame 20" Wheels

Very nice. the new shape is starting to grow on me. I need to start looking at 'personalise' my pride and joy too. I do like the window visors and the pedals but being lexus genuine parts, they are probably too pricey to get finance approved by my "financial controller". Here are some nice photos from clublexus... http://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-third-generation/464674-weathertech-window-deflectors-for-2010-rx-2.html -
Do they have a website that I can check out? I'm interested to see if they have a similar set for my 400h. There is a a seller in QLD on ebay selling a set for $65+$15 post but from the photos, it doesn't look as flat like your set. Also, how much was it for the pedals?
-
That's pricey...
-
That is a limitation on the screen hardware and not something you can fix with software/firmware.

You should be able to put 255 on stock rims without going the expense of aftermarket wheels if you don't want to go wider..
-
I'm afraid you're not going to be able to fit tyres as wide as in the X5 because the RX rims are narrower. There are 2 issues when fitting wider tyres - rubbing and speedo error. Use the link below to experiment your options. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

This is great price. Who could have predicted one can now buy a brand new lexus badge for 40K!!. Maybe I should downgrade to this....Just kidding!...:)

Look at her left hand...lols.

You're right!. Looks like this instruction no longer works on the updated 2010 RX350/450h and needs to be done by the dealer. Just give your dealer a call and they'll happily do it without charge. How was your ownership experience with the X5? ie, Likes & Dislikes. Last and not least, Welcome to Lexus Club :)

Do a google on how to disable seat belt chime on the Lexus and you'll find plenty of info on this. Give this a try and see if it works on yours. 1. turn the key to the ON position (press Start 2 times), foot off the brake 2. cycle the odometer with the trip reset button until the ODO is displayed (not trip A or B ) 3. turn the ignition to the LOCK (OFF) position 4. unbuckle the driver's seatbelt if it was buckled. 5. turn the key to the ON position (Press Start 2 times). when the dash lights have come on, press and hold the trip reset button and count a slow 12 seconds. (editor's note, hold it more like 30 sec) 6. while still holding the trip reset button, buckle the driver's side seatbelt. 7. the odometer display should read "b ON" or "b OFF". toggle the beep OFF with the trip reset. 8. the process should be completed when you unbuckle or turn the key off

Thanks Mate. I've sent my info to them so will see how much the quote comes to. I'm looking to get a set 4 or 5 (incl. spare tyre) of Yokohama Parada Spec-X. Their web price is $159/tyre. Was thinking to getting the Continental Extreme Contact DWS but I read it has a softer sidewalls which may not suit the RX. so if the total cost is below $1K, no customs/duties/taxes are payable?

Toyota Harrier Insurance - Australia
Lexo replied to Goofy's topic in Lexus RX330 / RX350 / Toyota Harrier Club
I've owned a grey import car some years ago and the insurance premium was so high that I got rid of it. You may find that the insurance premium in year one is acceptable (kinda like a bait to get you signed up) and then it sky rocketed in year 2. To be frank, I wouldn't import it if I was you coz it's so difficult to insure let alone trying to sell it later on. Looking at the pic, your car is equivalent to the Lexus RX330. Just curious if yours comes with a 3.3l V6 or is it a smaller engine? -
Toyota Harrier Insurance - Australia
Lexo replied to Goofy's topic in Lexus RX330 / RX350 / Toyota Harrier Club
The 90% of cars you are referring to are Australian complianced. YOur Harrier falls into the Low volume/personal import category and thus the big brand insurers are not interested. As per the above reply, try Shannons and Just Cars Insurance as they specialise in these unique vehicles, or you could enlist a car insurance broker to do the leg work for you. Be prepare to pay a hefty premiums for comprehensive covers.
