  1. Yes, there should be a rubber inlay and going by memory, it is stuck to the base of the centre drink holders.
  2. The RX400h is half a sec faster than the 350 from standstill to 100km (7.3 vs 7.8) but the the biggest advantage is in the rolling acceleration where the 400 is a wolf in sheep's clothing. You get max torque and power from the moment you put the foot down and this is something you need to experience the tremendous acceleration and the smoothness of power delivery. No gear huntings, no rev noise. This thing can keep up with a Merc ML500. What I luv about my 400 is the acceleration when I need it, the fuel economy of 7.8l as a daily runabouts, the silence when it's in elecric mode. Just needs to be extra cautious in shopping carparks coz people dont hear me coming.
  3. you might also want to consider the RX400h/450h if you have power and economy in mind. Once you've owned a hybrid, you will never want to go back to a conventional engine. This was my experience when I had the use of the new RX350 and 450H while mine was in service. In the hybrid, I'm so accustomed to the silent and smoothness of the CVT transmission.
  4. CX7 If yours was a turbo, I would have thought it would be quite zippy. One of my mate has one and the only bad thing I hear about is the high fuel consumption. GTI A 3-dr GTI with kids?!?!?... What on earth were you thinking?!?..lolz. Lexus Welcome to the Lexus Club!.
  5. On my hybrid RX, the rain sensing wipers are automatic and is variable dependent on the amount of rain hitting the windscreen. I have a stalk on the left side just behind the steering wheel to adjust the sensitivity +/-. I'm not sure if this is a standard feature on the rx350 or could just be in the hybrid.
  6. Mine is 2008 updated model. I've had it for about a year. This is my first Lexus and it's a lovely car to drive. I'm averaging 7.9L/100km around towns. .
  7. Does anyone know if the tail lights on the new IS350 are LEDs? The brake light bulbs seems too big to be LEDs to me.
  8. Glad to hear from another RX400H owner. which year is yours?
  9. Yes, the warranty applies to all models so check with your Lexus Dealer.
  10. If the cost of replacing the batteries is a concern, then perhaps you should go with the GS430 or GS300. You do realise the batteries are now warranty for 8 years or 160,000km, whichever comes first.
  11. Looks quite nice with the window chrome trim. It says the product is imported from USA so you could try and source one from the States. Mine has the L'chrome door handles as standard.
  12. $600 sounds about right for a standard 30K service, oil and filters only. 30K should not need new pads nor wiper change. Not this soon anyway.
  13. Welcome to the L'Club Subby :). Can't offer you any advice coz I have a different L but ask away if you have any questions.
  14. As a Lexus owner, I no longer have the urge to personalise my vehicle. It is already a beautiful vehicle for what it is. When I was driving toyotas and hondas, I would mod them with all sorts of aftermarket bits eg. altezza lights, seats, grills, steering, buying parts from overseas at all cost. I was passionate about my cars then. I still do but with Lexus, it's all about refinement and luxury. Perhaps I'm just getting older now :).
  15. I'm surprise you can't source OEM from your local Lexus dealer. are yours damaged coz they come standard on the car.
  16. Hi Poisson, I say why would you bother really!..Gives you something to look forward to upgrading to the next update.
  17. Whereis v16 No, you will not be able to use it while driving.
  18. I did a bit of googling and came up with 3 shortlist when mine are due for replacement: Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport - premium brand, expensive. OEM on BMW M5. Kumho KL51 Road Venture APT - mixed owner reviews from tirerack.com (quiet vs noisy) Hankook Ventus AS - not many owner reviews out there but everyone had been positive. I got a quote for the bridgestone and they were $420/each - 235/55/18. I dont have a price for the other two coz there is still some life left on the current set, but from what I've read,I like the Hankook. Hope other members can give you their owner experience on what they bought. Let us know what you ended up getting.
  19. Hiromu and his passenger in the LFA were both wearing crash helmets at the time so to die from this head on collision says alot about the accident.
  20. Great photos!. Really happy to see Webber won the race so convincingly. This is going to be so exciting as I look forward to the next race.
  21. On my car, press and hold the 'unlock' button on the remote automatically opens all windows as well as the sunroof, handy on a hot summer's day to let the hot air out. Does anyone know if it's possible to have the auto window closing programmed? Press and hold the 'Lock' on the remote button triggers the alarm.
  22. Given the tight street circuit, it's really anyone's race. I'm a fan of Alonso so I hope he wins.
