  1. Had to go to the Spring Nats in Shepperton today and while waiting, noticed the Dyno guys were a little bored (dyno'd a Polarise Golf Buggy and then a Mazda Bravo Ute). So asking if they want to run my little Jap bucket of bolts ;) Guess I have to be happy with that :D
  2. Now that sounds interesting. I am still interested if the gains come most from the headers or the removal of the CAT. Anyhow will be watching this thread with interest.
  3. Here is a quality alternative http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/WheelCloseUpServlet?target=runWheelSearch&initialPartNumber=W0183020622MGS&wheelMake=O.Z.&wheelModel=Alleggerita+HLT&wheelFinish=Matte+Graphite+Silver&showRear=yes&selectedRear=W0183120022MGS&autoMake=Lexus&autoModel=IS+350+Sedan&autoYear=2010&autoModClar=&filterFinish=All&filterSize=All&filterBrand=O.Z.&filterSpecial=false&filterNew=All&filterWeight=All&sort=Brand
  4. Not sure on the front difference between ISF and IS but here is someone with a similar set. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-f/554126-pics-of-new-wheels-ssr-material-inside.html Unless youa re looking to go super agressive the general rule is try to stay with a similar ET to standard. Brake clearance I do not think will be an issue but may be worth search elsewhere to see if anyone has one an IS350 for clarity. Love the wheels. Where are you thinking of purchasing from?
  5. ok, so it may not have got caught up in SPAM.
  6. Has anyone received the email with the username and password to get access to your photos etc? I have received nothing since the call and thinking maybe SPAM picked it up.
  7. Nice! Thanks for that. I think that might be my choice when getting new tyres.
  8. Hey Brisman Nice any chase of some close ups of the tyres / rims / guards to see the fit etc? Cheers
  9. Had a call yesterday from Lexus as a survey on the drive / ride day. She kind of confirmed everybody would have like more time in the cars, at least a full lap. Also said an email will be sent out with a link to photos of the day, so better keep an eye on the junk box ;)
  10. Did you end up going with the Michelin Pilot Super Sport, 245/35 on the front and 265/30?
  11. Hey dis-lex-sic I guess because I am a tight ass in everything I do! But in all seriousness, other competitive brands don't charge for similar or possibly better ride days. In the end my judgement (go fast around a track in someone else's car) got the better of me and I let the moths out and opened my wallet.
  12. I'm with you kirk7, Lexus Australia and customer service is a fallacy. I didn't get an invite either but decided to pay for the experience. I could go on and on about how bad my experience has been with Lexus Australia but I don't want to bore everyone and can't be bother to waste my breath on them. Me, I have come to the conclusion that I should just drive my car and expect NOTHING from Lexus Aust. Enjoy your car :D
  13. Happy to provide a copy of the LFA USB if you need it. Yes, think their control of the USD and info was a little tardy, I have the LFA but not the ISF lap.
  14. 19,000 km in two years, oh my 23,000 in 9 months makes me think I should be looking at my tyres for wear ;) Look forward to hearing your feedback once fitted. Are you getting local or importing with tire rack?
  15. That is kind of the combination I was thinking. It does change the OD of the tyres a bit but I think it should still be OK. Michelins I beleive have a softer side wall and hence the ride might impove but I think you are going down in wall height so may equal each other out. Let us know if you end up going this way.
  16. Don't see anything, so I think no worki. I tried editing my avi from the LFA but it kept crashing my movie maker software. I think the best way is to host on something like youtube
  17. Like Oliver said in that old movie - MORE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! More laps would have been a lot better as you couldn't really get into it, by the time you thought about what you were doing it was time to go into the pits again. To much talk and not enough action. They spoke about lap times, or part there of but I only ever saw two times on the board. If I didn't have to pay for it, OK it was a good day but seeing as it cost me 300dy I felt it could have been better. Would have done without the lunch for more laps
  18. A couple of *BLEEP*ty photos. Even a supercar needs to be refueled LOL
  19. Hey Mikebn Yes the day was good and in our case I think the weather was on our side. Like any of these things there is never enough laps in the cars and especially seeing as we did not get one full lap in any of the cars and only an out lap in the LFA was a little weak. In the end good fun but you can never have enough or tire of thrashing some else cars Did like the wheel in the new GEN 3 ISF though, would like a set of those on my car.
  20. AH, after a weekend in Bathurst I thought I might have lost a few brain cells or something. Good to see it was not me. Thanks
  21. Am I going crazy, or has the ISF forum gone missing?
  22. I'm no expert but I think it is a little more comprehensive than that, in addition to the change in the accelerator change I believe it might also change the changing points and swiftness of the shifts. From our cars do not have a techy sports mode like the M3's I drive system it's a very simple car and it works bloody brilliantly you might feel that it changes the shift points due to the throttle not being open 100% all the time when you floor it with sports mode not being on once sports mode is engaged it allows the throttle to be open as much wider than when it's not in sports mode so the transmission ecu detects and shifts the gears through throttle input so the gear changes may vary between sports and non sports mode You have to be joking. ;) When you drive the car in normal mode the shift is smooth and slack but as soon as you select Sport, even on light throttle the gear changes are swift and shape, night and day. Tractional control and stability control thresholds are extended etc etc Yes, not like the M3 (not variable and we don't have the adjustable shocks) but I am sure the SPORTS changes more than the throttle modulation. It has nothing to do with 100% throttle it is the ratio of the peddle to the throttle on the engine, both normal and sport will give you 100% throttle if you floor it. It is just how much throttle movement is required for various % of engine throttle.

  24. As I have a 2010 with the sport button low on the dash, I use it only when I want to drive agressive. If I had a 2011 with the sport on the steering wheel I am sure I would feel the need to push the button more often :D The low position of the button just feels abnormal to push regularly.
