  1. That will be the day 😞
  2. Some after market head units have a set up menu that allows you to map buttons. This is assuming the standard loom see's the buttons.
  3. Firstly I would get your mechanic to use a known oil pressure gauge to check oil pressure. I would also get a couple of oil analysis done to see what wear there is. I would also get a compression check done. THEN I would start chasing up a rebuild if needed.. Prob be a lot cheaper than another 2nd hand engine swap.
  4. Lexus states a lower pressure than nominal. IMO Try 36 for starters. Steering feel will improve as well.
  5. I put Michelin PS4 on my IS350. I run them at 38psi all around. Wear is very even. Very happy with the grip including in the wet. A lot less Yellow light flashing. 🙂 2nd set I went up one size in width 5mm... A few benefits . 1st is rims are now a little bit better protected, speedo error is reduced by approx 2kph, traction seems better again 🙂 Bob Jane always had the best fitted prices at the time.
  6. Also Check under the rear guards for the air relief panels. The rubber flap can perish letting in exh from the low pressure area under rear of car.

  8. Didnt really know about the Lexus models then 😉
  9. I came from an Mercedes SLK230 sport, Golf R32, Audi S3 to an 2011 IS350 F sport. Had it for about 4 years so far and not got inclined to part with it yet 🙂 Enjoy the ride
  10. I like the idea. I did similar on a golf hatch years ago but changed both for slightly higher rated. Might look into this idea later by using 2 with not as high a force as the one in the video.
  11. I was in the same boat about 4 years ago. Ended up with an MY2012 (dec 2011) IS 350 F sport. Great car and I have had a few great cars 🤑 Only issue I found (and it appears to be a non issue) is the injector pumps are noisy on this engine series. You learn to not hear it 😉 Front end tyre toe wear can be seen on some but is an easy fix either/and adjusting to '0'toe and replacing front lower rear bushes with those from a higher spec car. Also after scraping a couple of rims on the kerb I upsized all the tyres one size 235 front and 265 rear now.. Just a couple of mm makes all the difference esp on front. No downside to driving I've found. The F sport suspension is a good compromise for handling and driveability. Good luck in your search... 👍

  13. What a great 1st drive 🙂
  14. If dvd we have a later version linked on this site. We now believe it is V22 not v25 GPS v25 2019 for Au/Nz DVD based vehicles not SD card - General Lexus Discussions Forums - Australian Lexus Owners Club Forums
  15. Bob Jane should be fine. Firstly check tyre pressures and any inner or outer edge wear. May need to swap front wheels across if one worn due to bias from turns etc.
  16. Just stick to 95.
  17. Lexus says you can 🙂 It isnt as efficient as 91 but is cheaper. If your going to use it I would alternate with normal fuel for peace of mind. In the end its your call.

    Dashcams

I fed my dash cams power thru to the cig lighter in console .
  19. Didnt come out too bad. Been on since Xmas 2020. Still holding up. Ive got a bit more of the vinyl (ebay) so will have a 2nd try next summer to see if I can remove the few tiny bubbles I missed.
  20. Neels post above mine tried the secondary cat removal with no success ?
  21. I added a link a year ago somewhere re the flaps. :). USA forum is where I found it. As per my earlier post mine used to smell a bit. Nearly reduced recently it to zero with a can of Oxicat. Didn't think it would help but it did 🙂 Saw that too on the USA Lexus site with owners having success with it. Must of been some crud on sensor and cat inlet side? Oxicat | eBay
