As soon as I get mine running again I’ll be seeing a transmission guy I know to see what stally options I can look at.

Blending E85 (or other octane enhancers) with regular 98 octane PULP ??
18ADF replied to _ISF's topic in Lexus IS-F Club
E10 is rubbish, seen what it can do first hand. Unless it’s tuned specifically for any e85 blend I wouldn’t be touching it. As seeing what it can contribute to the aftermath can be an expensive fix lol -
I have a wifi obd2 dongle from jaycar that brings up a lot of data, not 100% sure how far it’ll go into logging and what not as I only set it up for the vital instros at the moment. Also clears codes which is a bonus

Gearbox has a larger oil cooler, driveline is still stock ratio he said, yeah it had a rebuild after it got a knock not long after the initial Sc install, if you’ve seen our cams it would take a hell of a lot of development to produce a aftermarket set especially with the lift on both intake and exhaust. At most I imagine you could do a spring upgrade but would only warrant that if you had float or wanting to rev it harder but at this stage it isn’t warranted. It won’t get there, the Sc unit is way past maxing out and it would be a pretty dramatic conversion to upgrade the intake injector system to convert over to full e85 but would be pointless only running single digits of boost.

Well done to Jason for breaking the struggle to get outta the 11s and into a 10. Lots of behind the scenes work and inovations done by the owner to get where he is today. A good bar has been set, we’ll be coming for it soon 👍

Most likely won’t be able to unless he has some pretty trick data logging software. You might require what James or Sonny use for tuning to access that kind of data.

It all seems shady as lol, had a warning light for the auto also... I guess we will have to wait and see after it’s been diagnosed. My guess it’s run lean

Yeah was speaking to a guy recently who booked his in. No extra costs I’d say, he’s done a couple now and has enough data. Would be simple enough to bring up a previous file, load it in a tweak to suit the individual vehicle. He has no need to charge anyone more than nessesary, he’s about to shift to a new location where overheads are far less so maybe that explains it.

It’s on the lexus isf/rcf/gsf club Australia fb page

If he’s got spin with 250kw he’s not strapping it down correctly, feeding the throttle sounds like a bs excuse
-
And now he’s up for a rebuild 🤔

Recently heard bps are tuning isf’s from $1000

More parts ordered today. scavenge oil pump for oil return line, water pump for w2a system and a air fuel ratio gauge. Took advantage of ebays 10% off everything promotion 👍 should be in the shop in around 2-3 weeks

Full e85, has a flex sensor incorporated into the loom. Just saving it for a rainy day at this stage and see what pump 98 brings me.

A club member here seen the opportunity and grabbed it quick smart. Out with the old, almost time for the new.

Custom stainless mid section made by exhaust innovations and hks ssm rear section Very exotic sounding system, replacement cost is well over 4 grand. Exhaust has been used approx 25 thou ks. Second pic is example only. Stainless has discoloured a little over the years. Reason for sale is upgrading for forced induction. Located in Brisbane Free delivery within brisbane, can assist with shipping/deliver for interstaters $2000

They do when done correctly, I have a plug and play harness with a haltech elite made for mine to run e85.

I would hate to see the labour bill from lexus, I’d be taking it more to a performance based shop for install. To most lexus/Toyota techs, servicing is all they know.

This was a good laugh a few years back. I contacted them back in the day and they were using some gear from chiptorque. Was honest and said that it was constantly getting overridden by the factory ecu. As for the numbers, quite interesting for stock headers 🙄

270ks on a highway is quite comfortable though 👍

I’ve had mine ran on the dyno more times than I can remember in 4th and 6th and there is sweet fa difference. My tuner uses 4th with mine. Running it up in 6th is kinda pointless as most dynos will be speed maxed before our 6th runs out, also generates aloft more heat and unessesary strain on everything.

They look the goods but my funds are currently being suckup up into other mods.. they have some huge milage isf’s over there so it’s a smart move from rr to bring out this product

Bit of an update. Fabricator 99% locked in to start in the next fortnight. Going with a large water to air plazmaman setup with optional ice box as looking at fmic core dimensions weren’t looking too favourable and if we’d stuck with something similar to rr’s size the intake temps wouldn’t be great. So it’ll cost a little more in the long run but will be heaps more compact and efficient. I have posted on Facebook that my current exhaust the hks ssm and custom mid section is up for sale. If your interested get in touch and I’ll send you pics and videos of the setup. Happy to meet nsw buyers half way at say Coffs as the mid section may be a little large for shipping.
