Learningman
Hi all, I have some leaking rear shocks on my IS250 :( Quote to replace $610 each + labour. Anyone know of any other after market options or second hand ones available in Sydney ? Also, if anyone know of any good mechanics that could fit them also near Castle Hill or Homebush it would be terrific. Thanks again ! Cheers ... Tony1234
Ouch!!! Cheaper to get a full set of coil overs I'd go the F Sport suspension over any coilovers. They're designed specifically for the car.
Learningman
Can someone please help me understand coil overs vs shock absorbers ?
quockies
The F-Sport Suspension are a direct replacement for your standard ones. Coilovers allow you to adjust the ride hight and damper - Soft to Hard
GT1
Go to Heasmans Steering in Sydenham NSW or at least call them. They really know their stuff.
LEX055
Is there much difference between stock is250 suspension and F-sport suspension in regards to height?
sawndz11
the f sport suspension arnt super low, but with saying that my standard is250 was very high and now with the F Sport springs in it sits much nicer.
Bluey
Hi Learningman Did you get this sorted? I have been told my shocks are shot and need replacing. Pedders quoted $980 for a pair Koni's fitted, including 4 wheel alignment. $770 for the shockers, then labour and alignment etc. Apparently they rang Lexus for OEM part pricing and were quoted $660 each. ouch

E910
Hi all, I have some leaking rear shocks on my IS250 :( Quote to replace $610 each + labour. Damn that's a lot. I can do genuine shocks for NZ$200 each + freight
RodL
Reinvigorating this thread. I have a 2008 250 x version and soon will need rear shocks replaced. What are your recommendations these days? I believe it is sports suspension similar to the Sport variant that was around in the early years.
bazzle
Just replace the shocks with a known brand unless you want to fiddle and adjust. Its not always as easy as some think. To keep balance with coil overs or complete sport suspension its advisable to replace all around.
