Do you have any further details, or a link to such?

Interesting isn't it - last year the Holden Cruze had a recall for a similar defect, but I never saw that in the press.

This recall now affects our local models - IS250/350/GS350/RX350.

GS350 isn't a local model??? (yet)

Locally the current recall only affects

Lexus IS250 GSE20 model vehicles produced between 31st August, 2007

through to 25th February, 2009 are involved.

A total of 4,844 vehicles are involved in Australia.

With Audi about to offer a $78,900 A6, and Mercedes-Benz offering something similar in the E-class, you'd have to think a GS 250 would be a certainty now, no? Either that, or the price of the GS 300/350 would have to drop by $20K (and get the fuel consumption reasonably close to that of the the competitors' entry-level models).

add the options on it at it no longer becomes that price
