as they are coatings on the pads and rotors that need to be burned off

check VSC is a generic way of the car telling you its logged a fault
check what it is with a obd scanner
asking what vsc does everyone will tell you what they previously had
it can range from a fauly o2 to a ABS pump fault to even a lose fuel cap

you probably had the old brake pads in them
it is possible the mechanic got you the updated set (texa) dustless pads

ok heres some currently market values
3-5K is a IS200 - 99-05 10K is alot for a is200 u can get a is300 with low kms for 10K or so
IS250's go for around 7-20K for 06 to 13 models so 20K for a low km is abit high realisticly that cars worth around 13 or so due to the kms
@ 20K u can get a decent milage IS350 arond 120-140K kms and they are all 11-13 models

after market tips on the 3IS are not on built to the bumper
if you really want that look you will need to weld your oem tips to the aftermatket exhaust

ok heres some info
1. All IS350's have big brakes they are not only limited to F sport and X models
2. if you want wheels to clear you need the right disc type on the wheels itself for work wheels
3. a good fitmemt size on a is350 with minmal lowering is 9 width front and 10 width back with mid to high 30's offset ie 35 onwards to 40
if you want to lower your car and not have any fitment issues with the guards i suggest 8.5 and 9,5 rears with around mid 30's offset
any lower offset you will have to roll the guards and run camber
if damaged wheels are the only reason why you want to change the wheels
i suggest getting another set of wheels in better condition as they are around and expect to pay around 1K more or less depending on the tyres it has

Look forward to your comments.the thing with headers you will lose the distinct V6 noise and it kinda its hard to explain but sounds more like a agressive highpower small cap motor
