  1. Yeah I just found a DIY brake pad swap on club Lexus. Basically had nothing to do with a brake wear sensor. Clean the shims and bobs your uncle.
  2. Hi all, Just a quick qestion. I am about to order a set of front pads and rotors for the ISF and wanted to know if I will also need to order a brake wear sensor? Last time I had my pads & rotors done by lexus of brisbane, I didn't see anything about a sensor on the invoice but I thought it would be worth checking before ordering the set. Thanks plenty!
  3. Hey all, sorry for the late reply. I had the car fixed by Gabba collision repairs who is unfortunately not a lexus recommended repairer..... but I was very impressed by the work done. The rear bumper looks back to original and I couldnt be happier. I'll try to post some photos up soon!
  4. Well if it is a 2012 model it will still be within warranty & the encore privilages should be transferable to the new owner of the vehicle. Only thing I can think of is you might miss out on a complementry wash or a bottle of wine. lol
  5. Yeah I'd join you too if I lived nearby. Have fun anyways! Make sure to let us know how your F goes.
  6. My policy with NRMA is ending soon & I might just ask lexus of Brisbane for a quote. Hopefully they can come to the table with something competitive.
  7. Thanks for the tips guys. The only assessment I could get was on thursday and therefore the Mrs will have to take it in for me. I guess I will have to write down some questions for her to ask with regards to paint etc. I might pop into my local lexus dealership to get the paint code to make sure its the correct colour etc.
  8. On the way home from the shops on Saturday I received a love tap from the driver behind me….. fortunately everyone was ok and not too much damage was done but it was still a pain to call the insurance etc. Car goes in on Thursday for assessment & hopefully repaired shortly after. It’s a bit hard to see from the photos cause I used my phone but its mostly just scratches, a small dent and the clips that hold the bumper in place on the passenger side were dislodged.

Nice work. If you dont mind me asking... how much did it cost? Just wondering what the price difference would be between a JoeZ or another exhaust imported from the states vs. getting a custom one made up here....
  10. Damn..... Sorry to see what happen to your car. Like Elgin said its good to see no one was hurt. Hope they get your beast fighting fit and back on the road asap. PS is your ISF modified and did that cause any issues with insurance?
  11. My brakes made noise towards the end of their life. Once the new pads & rotors were in it was all good again that was about 15K ago. There are a few brake pad alturnatives available..... I have been looking for a while now for trying to find a pad/rotor combo more suited to street then track, that will last a bit longer and hopefully cheaper then the oem. So far I have heard some good news about project mu & hawk pads. I havent found too much in the way of rotors apart from Figs. Most alturnative pads claim less dusting and noise. But like I said I'm still in the process of looking for a better alturnative to the Brembos. Has anyone else used different pads or rotors?
  12. nice work on the emblems t4orce. I like the F logo you have added to the front grille too. Just a quick update for those who are thinking of trying plasti dip. I just washed my car over the weekend and the emblems held up fine. Obviously i was careful not to go to hard at them but they are still in good condition.
  13. They are some sweet shots Elgin! Is that the Indooroopilly shops car park? haha
  14. Hi All, About 2 weeks ago I blacked out my emblems using plasti dip. It was much cheaper than buying new emblems and definately easier than installing them. $40 & 2hours later these are the results. Let me know what you think guys! Also has anyone else used this product before and do you think it would work on the window trim?? Cheers,
  15. Have you looked at the Sikky ones? http://www.sikky.com/view_item.php?id=148&catid=15
  16. Which exhuast did you get installed??
  17. Nice to meet everyone! I will post some pics soon.
  18. Alright awesome. Have you noticed any sound difference compared to stock?
  19. Mega keen everyone. See ya out there
  20. Nice yeah that is a pretty popular set up. What do you mean by CEL?? Also is the AFE filter a reusable filter like the k&n??
  21. Hi there fellow ISF lovers, I have been doing some research with regards to intake options for the Lexus ISF. I thought I might post my findings for everyone to discuss and for others looking to modify their ISF to find it all in one place. Please note: the “Pros & Cons” are my findings on other forums and comments made on these particular items. Obviously people who have purchased these products would have a better understanding and I fully encourage everyone to add information & correct me if I’m wrong! Cheers! The following is a range of Cold Air inductions available: Injen Cost: $250 (approx) + Shipping (on eBay) Claimed power gains: +26.5HP & +37.5f/LBS Colours available: Black or Chrome Pros: If you believe the claimed gains this is a very good piece of kit for the dollar! Cons: Installation instructions not quite clear. Not fully shielded. K&N Cost: $300 (approx) + Shipping (on eBay) Claimed power gains: +22.4HP Colours available: Grey Pros: Good quality, clear instructions(installation video available on Youtube) Cons: Costs a bit more than the injen. Not fully shielded. Tekeda Cost: $300 (approx) + Shipping (on eBay) Claimed power gains: +16HP & 15f/LBS Colours available: Black or Chrome Pros: Fully seals, fits directly to factory intake box. Easy installation. Cons: Costs the same as the K&N but has less claimed power increase in comparison. SRT Cost: $800 (approx) + Shipping (SRT website) Claimed power gains: +HP & f/LBS Colours available: Chrome Pros: Some serious power gains (If you believe the claims) Cons: Price. Also the Piggyback unit that comes with it has had some bad comments about its quality and performance. Now that covers most of the popular options with regards to ripping out your air box and replacing it with a full cold air induction system. Another option available is to replace just the intake tube from the air box to the intake manifold. All of these options look quiet easy to install. The following is a range of Intake tube replacements available: JoeZ Cost: $140 (approx) + Shipping (L-tuned website) Claimed power gains: +5HP & 5f/LBS Colours available: Blue & Black Pros: Cheap & good looking way to add a few ponies & dress up your engine bay. Cons: May suffer from heat soak in hot weather. HPS Cost: $170 (approx) + Shipping (Figs engineering website) Claimed power gains: +4.6HP & 7.2f/LBS Colours available: Blue, Black or Red Pros: Silicone design wards off heat soak. Cons: Haven’t heard much bad about this product yet….. iCode Cost: $399(approx) + Shipping (L-tuned webside) Claimed power gains: ?HP &? f/LBS Colours available: Black Pros: Silicone design wards off heat soak. Cons: Price…. I may be wrong but I don’t really see how you could charge this much for something that is practically the same as the HPS product. Carson Cost: $229(approx) + Shipping (L-tuned webside) Claimed power gains: HP & f/LBS Pros: Silicone design wards off heat soak. Cons: Price…. I may be wrong but I don’t really see how you could charge this much for something that is practically the same as the HPS product. Now to maximize these intake tube options I gather you would want to include a high flow panel filter. Here are some options below: K&N, AFE, HKS……. And the list goes on and on. Now I haven’t picked any of these options just yet but I would love to hear your opinions and to any newbies I hope I have help point you in the right direction. Like I said earlier I have put this list together from my own research and the “Pros & Cons” are what I have found from various other forums and comments. I’d also like to add the list is of the more popular options I have found. People who have purchased these products will have far more experience and I fully encourage their input in this thread! Cheers!
  22. Haha fully agree! Are we going to go for a cruise afterwards??
  23. I'm pretty keen guys. Should be good to hear the difference between all the exhaust systems.
  24. I had a track day at the same venue last year in one of their Lotus'. Just as long as you listen to the instructors and drive at your own (as Epicurean suggested) level you should be fine! You'll have plenty of fun.
