Alright il try west side tomorrow best mufflers didn't even return my call northmead didn't seem interested in the job at all. way it's going il just order the mid pipe from Japan didn't think I'd have so much hassle trying to get this done!!

can anyone reccomend an exhaust shop in sydney? (not northmead perf) rang best mufflers waiting for a call back and hear west side is pretty good? seems to be a massive job to make a custom mid..

good to briefly see you as you were passing John lol.. first time I went to this event, even though I didn't get in as I was told it was pointless I actually enjoyed being in a traffic jam with supercars / rare as cars and just some great clean rides in general! will definitely attend again in the future hope the next location is a bit more user friendly though!

update - local shop said it wouldn't make much of a difference and I kind of agree so I didnt go ahead with the delete - from what I have read from those who have done the delete was it was a little more raspy 3k and above. decided to go for a custom mid so I will call some shops next week and see what they can do for me - now its just a fine balance between a more deep/rumble but still having minimal to no drone and not too loud. alternative is one from japan which I found but that would be around $1.8 landed which is a bit too much, or the HKS which you can still get from the states but again similar price.

hmmm actually that sounds like a good idea!! sounds great (youtube vid) so just have it replaced with a straight pipe?

yeah I have no issue with the stock tips I think it really suits the car actually - i do think I will need to do something to the mid pipe to give it a little more sound, not sure if I should either have the secondary cats replaced OR get a custom mid - I dont want it to be too loud and dont want drone but just a little more sound.. any ideas?

yeah I mean its hard to say as I adjusted to the ISS but its not a huge difference over stock danny/jason said it sounded stock ish when I gave it a hit but I think its a little deeper/bassier personally, it is pretty much new also so it will sound a little deeper over time im guessing!

damn thats moving.. I think I hit 195ish? was with an instructor on the lexus drive day and the witches hats are put well before the braking point though!

compared to the ISS its silent.. may go a mid pipe later. I must admit I did miss the stock exhaust tips lol..

Hi Nlf Im no expert in the topic so I do not want to provide you with incorrect advice re Opulent - but if you want my opinion - just go to the real detailers and get it done right - I know with reflect effect for e.g. most of the VW guys get the GTI/R/Sirocco etc sent straight from the dealer to him to apply it - says everything really. If you are able to book it very soon (as in day of delivery or very close to delivery) I would ask them not to wash the car.. which they might not agree with as its lexus and all, but the less the car is touched the better and less work for the detailers as they have to machine polish the car before applying the sealant. or if not do not wash your car unless using the proper method (two bucket/microfibre/lambswool) etc to avoid adding any swirls. same with window tint, just get it done by a well known place and save (unless thrown into the deal!) good luck ;)

it actually arrived on the 21st of December (import monster) but obviously closed on xmas break and still waiting for the notification it has been sent.. but soon! its just the axle-back section, managed to get it for 98k yen + ship and it apparently was used for 'demo purposes' with < 500km. so now I either need to cough up some $$ for the discontinued mid-pipe, wait for the auction sites to get one or get a custom mid.. or leave stock. pretty excited to hear it also tbh! I dont think Danny is as keen haha ;P looks like some kind of steampunk work of art imo.. will be laying on the ground more often to look at it I think haha..

Hi Nlf I refuse to get any dealer 'paint protection' as its just wax that generally will last 6 months not a proper coating, having said that I know that a few actual detailers who are in talks to supply / train dealers to actually apply paint protection but I dont know if thats in place to be honest.. its probbaly much cheaper for you to get it applied by suppliers (reflect effect/bright shine mobile etc) anyway for the real thing. So I cannot compare. my 2011 and 2014 had opticoat applied and on my 2011 ISF I currently have body armour 9H ceramic coat vid here -

re suspension just get swift springs ;)

correct OEM 2014 fog light upgrade, very happy with them. sold the NOVEL sides, I think they suit the darker colors better its still damn nice though but yeh sold it.
