  1. Does the DRL stay on when the headlights are in auto mode? Does it dim when you turn on the low beams at night?
  2. I thought that was a case too but a forum member bought a kit from Sewell and said it fit no problems: http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/topic/8097-sports-pedals/?p=17171
  3. Hi PFD, I'm still further than even from choosing lol, every time I make a choice I realise that it's so much money and back off but then I see a car with wheels and I want to get them again.
  4. Hi Ricky, the parking brake doesn't have one from the official factory kit. If you check ebay you can get Chinese pedals that have it but I don't think they're very nice... the factory kit as pictured looks a lot more OEM.
  5. Do it, be the guinea pig - one small click on the computer but a giant leap for the Lexus community. ;) The proportions of the LED strip/chrome surrounding etc. all look wrong and slightly awkward though...
  6. Did they end up paying or did insurance make them? Do you know how much it costed to repaint the wheels?
  7. Hi guys, After unsuccessfully trying to win Dannys F-Sport wheels on eBay (out snipped at 1 second left :( ), I'm looking for something else. Can anyone suggest any wheels that would look good on a standard dark grey IS? I'm currently considering these styles: 1. 2. Lexus OEM American F-Sport wheels: (Car owned by Gibbzy on the forums) I think costs are fairly similar, F-Sport being a few hundred more. Any other suggestions would be appreciated too :)
  8. I read the drop isn't really noticeable with these, do you think it's still worth getting? Do you have any pictures? :)
  9. If you use an aftermarket ballast then you won't need the ballast but will it fit into the OEM wiring and seal the headlight properly? The Lexus ballast is designed to form a seal around the headlight and keep out moisture/air. If I were you, I'd just buy a cheap second hand set on ebay. That's all the parts you need and the bulbs too. If you want it to work like stock 2011+ models, in the sense that the DRL turns on in the day and 50% dimmed at night you might need to make a harness unless Chatswood knows how to do that. It's a great upgrade though, be sure to post up some pictures when you're done :)
  10. Maybe they forgot to rinse off the cleaner and let it dry? Then slowly it has been eating away the clear.
  11. Detailing forum thinks that an acidic cleaner was used and left on the wheels for too long as well: http://www.detailparadise.com.au/showthread.php?10959-What-happened-to-these-wheels-Was-the-cleaner-too-acidic They said to try hand polishing, if it has eaten into the clear though I'm not sure of how much help that would be.
  12. Might be a bit too acidic - I'll post your pictures on a detailing forum and see what they have to say.
  13. Thanks guys, is there a noticeable ride difference with bumps/potholes when lowered?
  14. Hi guys, I'm a noob at this car modification stuff but I've seen pictures of slightly lowered IS250's and I really like the look: I'm just wondering, does this height look legal (above 100mm off ground) and what impact would it have on insurance policies - would they have to be informed (raised costs maybe)? Ps. they're H&R Springs - do they need to be ADR approved or something?
  15. Yeah, I reckon the black ones would look a lot nicer. Just like the OEM ISF wheels. Have you seen your cars pictures on detailparadise? amazing.
  16. Hey Subby, I sacrificed my AFS for them and I don't even notice that it's gone lol.
  17. I saw your car on the detailing forums afgmoh! Looking great - saw it on the Lexus Melbourne meetup page or something before it was deleted too. Have you thought of getting black centre caps for your wheels like the OEM ones?
  18. I keep reading more and more carbon build up problems on the Lexus USA forums but hardly hear a thing here about it here. I'm just wondering if we were plagued with the same issues? Should I use an injector cleaner just to be on the safe side?
  19. I don't think it would matter, they're not insurance assessors/police. They still want your $$$.
  20. I had a piece of paper sucked up into the recirculation hole in the passengers footwell which greatly reduced airflow, see if there's anything int here?
  21. Looks great Chris! How do you find the change in power vs the 250?
