Rim selection is endless... purely personal taste. A good choice to want to change the stock prestige wheels.

Tint, a must and the first thing I did. Darker the better; I went 20%. A real nice look. You can get this done from $150-$400; depending on the product / installer. Do your research.

Install HID's. 6000k; you can pick them up for under $200 and do it yourself.

For performance, again it's endless and yea I admit the IS could do with some more power. Look at an intake / exhaust combination, but it won't give you huge boost, but better than stock. Otherwise look at turbo blah blah blah....

It would depend on your personal taste and budget.

Enjoy!!!!!

I hate to burst the bubble but performance mods its not endless!

headers will give the most gains if you can find a decent set.

intake will give it a more agressive note! be prepared to go either up or down a couple of kws depending on which one you go with!

exhaust will add 5 - 7hp and again a meaner sound depending on brand.

mid pipes will also help although atm theres only invidia and megan!

no ecu mods are available!

HID = High Intensity Discharge or Xenon Lighting.

Difference between HID low beam and Halogen fogs.

Hi,

Did anyone changed their High Beam into Xenon..?

or usually they just bother to change the Low Beam only..??

What's usually in the Sports/Sports Luxury models??

Are both Xenon for Low & High Beams..??

Cheers,

p0c1

Yeah, 17's with 10-spoke alloys became standard on the 09 upgrade.

Prestige and F-Sport models have halogen low and high beams, while Sports Luxury (and Sports) has (had) bi-xenon (low- and high-beam xenon) lamps with the Adaptive Front-lighting System that lets you "see around corners". As dis-lex-sic has posted elsewhere, MY11 IS's won't get AFS.

Cevu - Have you dynoed your own vehicle before and after your mods to see the difference?

Mods are endless depending on your budget..

As for ecu's, there are a number of piggy back basic controling ecu's like a Apexi super afc or you could go a full aftermarket ecu to have significant gains, but that would void most of your warrentys.
