  1. LF-LC... another Lexus I can't afford lol. Will any be sold locally and any ideas on landed price if so?
  2. The vehicle pricing at Lexus over the last 12 months has been getting very competitive, so I guess they're trying to make up for it in the workshops. My guess at the reasoning.
  3. If you go thru Sewell, their shipping prices are ridiculous. I used www.priceusa.com.au to bring them in for me. Much cheaper than Sewell's quote for shipping.
  4. Local Lexus dealer able to source these or will I have to go through Sewell? I tried a local dealer... they plead ignorance to the part number, so I had to get them from Sewell. Around $125 landed.
  5. 4 pots or standard? If standard, the dustless US pads are amazing. Bite is better than standard AU pads too.
  6. Pre 2009 model you will need to shift the gear lever over into manual mode to activate the paddles. No updates will change this.
  7. Only button on the right if you don't have the Bluetooth option, otherwise you get a couple more.
  8. The front emblem will be "solid" and shiny on an SL rather than a cut-out chrome badge like other models. The radar cruise control hides behind it.
  9. Approach a Lexus dealer and ask them about extending the factory warranty if you wish. If it has a full Lexus service history, it shouldn't be too much of an issue, and you'll be covered pretty much like factory warranty again.
  10. The decibel scale is logarithmic... every 3dB increase is a doubling in loudness, so the GReddy would be a *BLEEP*eload louder if the Fujitsubo is actually 82dB (seems very conservative to me).
  11. 1. Ring around... different dealers have different service costs. 2. Oils will degrade over time regardless of km travelled. It is still a good idea to get it changed. I never reach the 15,000km they expect every 12 months, but I still get my servicing done at the 12 month mark. 3. Probably the sensor under the seat, but it's a safety issue, so I'm not sure a dealer would disable it for you.
  12. Installation of an F-Sport intake didn't affect my fuel figures thankfully.
  13. Yep, any wire that has 12v when the car is on should work fine. Just don't go for a constant 12v or you'll drain the battery pretty quickly.
  14. Even 6000k isn't correct/legal, although they can look nice depending on how the headlights are aimed. Factory beams are 4300k which emulate sunlight as closely as possible. 4300k provides more visible light than other colours (eg. 6000k or above). 8000k and they are well into the blue, getting close to looking purple.
  15. Page 369 of the user manual. You actually need to touch the Lexus logo on the back of the fob to the metal ring around the Start button.
  16. I can supply them if people are interested. $300 + post. I will source the correct harness and offer installation advice, since all of the documentation is in Japanese.
  17. If you buy 8000k ones and drive anywhere near me, expect a punch in the face. If you have to ask why, keep researching.
  18. The Lexus fob will still work when flat. You just need to hold it near the Start button for ~30 seconds and it will magically read it. (Probably some sort of induction loop/charger).
  19. Around $2k + taxes & delivery from Japan for a Cusco IS-F LSD centre. Haven't done it myself... just did some "research" for a future project.
