It definitely DIY on late model IS250's. Whether it's possible on earlier models is debated here: http://au.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8152&st=0 ... although we now have confirmation from k2sty1 that it's DIY on his '07 model. its definatly possible on the older model, well it worked on my 07 Sport, just followed wt it said in the manual start the car in ignition mode (press start button twice without brake pedal depressed) then leave the car in Park now just hold the door unlock button on the driver side door for about 4seconds nd release it, when u relesse, all the doors will lock then unlock now its limked so they unlock when i shift into Park bbut to make then LOCK when u shift OUT of Park, instead of holding the unlock button, hold the lock button

update: went to my friends house (dads a mechanic) and he had all the tools to get the intake off and installed the new one took a while to find something that would hold the pipe/hose on, but after searching his garage for 20mins, found something that would work now only problem is, i never keep it under 3000rpm and that my school thinks i've being speeding down the school roads gonna get called im tomorrow for it, teacher saw me and my friends go to my car at break so they could see the intake and apparntly he thinks i floored it past him after school, lol im not dumb enough to be flooring it in school zones when i see little kids walking across the road

ok, so i took out the OEM pipe disconnected the O2 sensor undid the top part of the intake box i unhooked the lower half, and took out the bolt on the top left and now the problem, cant get the bottom one out i'm gonna go buy a set of tools tomorrow (technicaly today) i got the factory wrench (the one in the toolkit in the car) and the top one came out fine with the bottom one, i can get in on the bolt, but there this peice of plastic in the way, so i cant get the wrench flat i should buy the one that looks like a screwdriver but has a wrench thing right? thanks also, the hose kinda thing before the O2 sensor doesnt fit i mean it goes on, just it doesnt stay on, even if i put the clamp on it, the little pipe sticking out is too small everything else fits fine

if u have a ClubLexus account, it's still $US 353.15 + postage they also have the OEM rear spoiler (the pointy one at the top of the page) for $US 166.80 + postage BUT i just added 3 things (front lip, rear lip, rear spoiler) the parts cost $575, which i reckon is really good but then shipping to australia costs $652... yeh

the warranty goes for 4 years we bought a used 2007 Sport model with optional EMV + Moonroof it has warranty till Oct 2011 which in cludes roadside assist and lexus encore privleges u can extend your warranty for another 3 years (im pretty sure its 3 years) but i dunno if its a full warranty like the first 4 year one, or just something your dealer does for you as for '07 vs '08 i guess it more to do with the km's the car's done, and the warranty. as far as i can tell, there are just a few difference between the 06 and 07, and even fewer (maybe even no differences) between the 07 and 08 im pretty sure the X's all have the EMV (nav, ML stereo, rear camera) but the one i looked at (i had a choice between a 07 Sport with 27000k's or a 07 X with 27000k's for the same price) it didn't have the reverse sensors or the front sensors, and didnt have the auto dimming or something rear view mirror, all X's also have 18" rims and the Sport suspension, leather seats the Sport lux has all that (except 17" rims and normal suspension) plus radar cruise control, VDIM, wood interior (the silver interior is better IMO) and other stuff i cant remember right now, lol i guess if you want a more "sporty" car and your gonna leave it stock get the X, if u want more luxury get a Sport Lux but if your gonna change the rims and lower it, get a Sport Lux but overall i recon the X is great value
