OK fellas I've got what I think is great news. I've been trying to get this for a while. Now while its not official, just yet, I have been told the price premium for the IS350 will be around $10,000 over the IS250. Like the IS250C I think they will all be optioned with Nav etc This is less than I was expecting and will make an IS350 awesome value.

This is why I asked about keys from the USA. Phamish it wasn't just your keys changed but also something in one of the computers for the locking system which changes the operating frequency thus eliminating the interference. I believe it is switched to a frequency that Singapore or some other country use. Thats why I question buying keys from other regions, gotta make sure before you order that the fob is the same frequency.

What do you mean "chipped" Have you used a key ordered from the USA? Are they the same frequency as used in Australia?

This sounds like a poor attitude to your friends. I'm sure your "friends" cars mean just as must to them despite the value. Never let the price of a car make you think its more or less valuable to someone. Besides I'm guessing its their car not their Mum's.

I agree with everything in your post, however an IS250 isn't a sports or GT car. A 335i buyer is more likely to be a "driver" than someone buying a 320i or 325i but even still the number of manuals sold is far less than the DSG. The 3 pedal manual in most brands sales figures is a victim of technology...thats what it come down to.

You are right. Since the auto in the IS250(6 spd) is such an improvement over the auto in the IS200(4 spd) there is no performance advantage between manual and auto as there was in the IS200. Less reasons to buy manual, especially over a paddle shift/tiptronic auto. With the lined between the traditional auto & manual blurred by DSG and the like you will see less & less of the traditional 3 pedal manual. Except for sports car or budget reasons. Less than you'd think.....

Its ok its fixable. Not too expensive either. Depending on how bad of course.

Thought some of you may be interested, especially those with a manual IS250. Just heard that after July there will be no more IS250 manuals able to be ordered.

Well I have a different take on it. I like the X wheels more than the Sport.... Because the Sport wheels look older to me. The Sport wheels were first out in 2005 and the X wheels came out I think 2008. So when I see the two, the X wheels to me are newer and the car they are on probably a later model. Plus they are easier to clean...I've had both. I like the new 18 inch F Sport wheel the most though.

Beat me too it. Sports Luxury has 17 inch wheels. They are the 2005-2007 Sport 18 inch wheel. After that the same wheel design but with a slightly shinier finish was used for a while.

Just to help out with your car description. Your car is Crystal Mist (colour code 074) not White Pearl (colour code 077) as they are two different but similar colours. Good luck with the sale, car looks great.

You're probably talking about a 3-4% difference at best. If that! The difference in engine performance due to change in ambient temperature is greater. This morning it was 14 degrees this afternoon it may hit 25 degrees, that would have a bigger effect on engine performance. Due to your super sensitive right foot I think you should change your forum name to Dyno Dan.

Not so. Suspension on the prestige & the Sports Luxuy is exactly the same. Its the Sports not the Sports Luxury that has different suspension.

It is but its worth it. Feel like having a go at writing up how you do it?.
