  1. I rang up JAX and they said for what i wanted in the 19s they will fit 225 series tyres, i would think this is 35 profile. do you think 225 is too narrow for 19s?
  2. Niick, thanks for your info, i would be most interested in meeting up with you and check things out IF you are in Sydney. Do you think 19s compromised ride quality, what about reduction in power due to weight?? About lowered your car, can you do mine as well (after i get my wheels :))?
  3. When i got my car, i used my old mats for the fronts which are the expensive types. Keeping my OEM ones till when i sell the car.
  4. Niick, i would like to know more about your 19s as i am wanting to get them, did you lower your car or is it a sports model with oem sports suspense? Got any pics?
  5. I do valet work part time and i can GUARANTEE you that Alfas, volvos, Citreons etc qauailities are worse than the average Fords and Holdens. Apart from the qualities, they are not well built and don't really have anything interms of performance, handling nor confort. These cars are not for Austalia use imo. When browsing for my IS, i only had BMW to ponder on.
  6. Thanks Saphhire, but i just dab it with the cotton bud and left it, was only wanting to cover the spot from being exposed and potentially get rusted.
  7. I don't have nothing from Encore programme yet and it's been 16 months.
  8. Mate i agree with you on the hard earn and return for 60 BIG ones. If you are going to spend heaps you'd want it to last and Lexus quality has to be above Toyota if not same lol. Be interesting to see the 3rd gen IS.
  9. From what i have experienced, the late 2007 onwards shouldnt have rattle issues. If you have seat rattles the fix is just retightening of the seat to the rails (bolts). If you shop around, i think you could land a good deal on a used car, but the cost i would think will depend on the Ks travelled needless to say. If you find a cheap base prestige than think about it, as the E.P version might be worth more but is it worth the extra $$$. Have not done a "paid" service on my car yet so would not know.
  10. Never really heard of 22" on is250 before let alone seen one with them. I'd say 19" would be as far as i'd go.
  11. Between the two i'd get the Sports one. To me the X wheels look good at a glance and on it's own, but from a whole car's perspective they make the car look alittle cheap..especially after look at it for a while.
  12. I never fill mine up to your $87 mark, i only fill max $60 each time and that was with around 30Kms left to travel. It's hard to say how much you can get out of a full tank as everyone's driving style is different, trafiic conditions differs, price of fuel differs etc. But if you must know, for me if i were to put in $87 of PULP, i think i would better your mark of 550K...again depends on cost per Litre. you only meant to put in PULP for the 250, so ULP was never an option, you just have to get PULP. At the end of the day you have to enjoy your car and as much as i am a conscious person of things like fuel consumption, Kms travelled on the Odo etc, i have to concede that in my car the only thing that matters is the enjoyment of driving. The car isnt used for alot of driving (thankfully) but each time i drive it i don't think of muc else other than enjoyment. If you are fuel conscious (due to driving heaps), best to get a small hatch. cos then not only will you not worry about fuel consumption, but you will not worry about other costs such as maintance costs, insurances etc. My 2 cents anyway.
  13. Becos it such a small area (2mm by 2mm), do i bother with any rust agent before applying?
  14. I see, but $4K (tyres included) sounds abit much. Have you considered aftermarket?
  15. If we have the wheels here, why go overseas? For peace of mind, i would not risk it.
  16. As far s i know lexus have addressed the rattles issues in the 07/08 models. I just got my seat rails tightened and that got rid of the seat rattles so far. I concur that if you pay that much for a car you'd want it to be near perfect (no such thing as perfect). I bought the Presitge so it wasn't as much as the SL, i guess my pain isnt as bad as yours. Btw, my love for driving the lexus has increased since the seat rattles have gone. If nothing else goes wrong i'll keep my car till altleast till the warranty runs out.
  17. $2524 including tyres? It's not too bad if you want oem but go aftermarket and you can get 19s with tyes with money to lower your car too. I was at dealers today and saw these X wheels...alot of gaps to the fenders which sorta puts me off abit.
  18. Went to dealers today and they gave me a can for free. Said i never gotten one one when first bought.
  19. I just got back from the dealers and having inspected the X car, i realised they don't come with heated/cool seats, leather seats yes but not this option. Talking about adding something and taking another away??
  20. I don't know if anyone here the X car yet. If you have enough to get a Sport or Sport Luxurymight be good to go that way. The extra things are nice to have but for me money was the driving factor....and not that i'm biased, but the costs you put into the cars doesn't necessarily means you can get them back in comparision amounts, depend on what you get too i suppose.
  21. Yep very nice to have, another step toward car driving itself.
  22. http://editorial.carsales.com.au/car-review/2912902.aspx I wonder what the upgrade model will be like, we all know that so far it's behind the M3, RS4 and C63 on pace, could they do a little more fine tuning? Damnn hope so but i know tey won't lol.
  23. If you just bought your car, that the time to do it otherwise no point if you had it for a year imo.
  24. Isnt active cruise means it can sense car in from of you and slows down to keep it's distance?. A collision avoidance feature.
  25. Just want to know if you do, what brand and how much?
