  1. Great mate!!! as much as I’d like this to be as big as possible, I’d rather have quality over quantity. Some of these meets get ruined by ‘p platers’ doing ‘Sick skids’ etc. Ruins it for everyone, and lst thing we need is to draw any unwanted attention from the cops.
  2. Great - looking forward to it mate!! come on guys- you wanted it, get amongst it! If we get a decent turnout this will become a more regular thing!!
  3. Hi All, it has been ages since we had a decent Lexus meet. It would be great to get to know each other besides behind a computer screen, discuss our cars and go for a cruise and a feed somewhere scenic - beaches way. So I’m organising a catch up for all Lexus makes and models: When: 10am Sunday 3rd December 2017 Where: Slough business park, Holker Street, Silverwater short notice - as it gets closer to Christmas, it will only get busier. I’ll have my RR Racing Performance package ISF in attendance List your cars that will be attending - look forward to getting a good bunch together. Alex
  4. Let’s do it- and maybe a nicer carpark than the norm and cruise somewhere decent 👍🏼 Ill start a thread
  5. Bro - don’t bother. Little smell on start up and when you leave car, but when stoped at lights etc - windows down, can’t smell it
  6. So you rollout in a designated area, get up to speed, keep in line with your opponent, and as you roll wait for the green light, then hammer it Home!!! there are some big cars there! Last time I beat an R33, an SRT Jeep and a Silvia, but got smashed by a few Holden’s and an Evo. Forced induction is the way to go. As NA our cars are a lot of fun, but nothing compared to big boys.
  7. So what other mods do you have? Tune works best with an exhaust and headers as a minimum. I probably wouldn’t bother otherwise. Of course RR Racing charges for the new file - they aren’t in the business of giving their hard work away for free!!! Like the old saying goes “you have to pay, to play!” Each file is custom to the level of mods you have. So if you were to change your set up at a later date you’d have to update the file. As Koop21said, yep it’s friday night from 6pm. But your Spectator tickets online for cheapest price. I don’t have a garage this time around (garages are $120) but if anyone is keen to join next time we can split it (up to 3 cars) and well worth it!!! anyone that’s keen to meet at the event, let me know below and I’ll send you contact details.
  8. They are John!! And it’s great getting a bunch of the same cars together. only a few of us are lucky enough to have dedicated track wheels and tires 😜 joining that club very shortly - the advans are ordered and in their way !!

It’s like night and day isn’t it?! highly recommend this procedure and the guys (Chris especially) @ Lexus of Chatswood.
  10. Tool can be used on multiple cars but the tune is specific to your vehicle ID. You have to download you vehicle details, send it to them and then they send you an amended file for you to upload
  11. HAha - that’s the at it is mate!! nah the 275s are on my 19x10.5, but John and Chris from Lexus recommends the 275 on the stock 9inch or 9.5inch rim. will be a little heavier but worth it for traction
  12. Already got the 275s mate - the 255s on the stock rims are a little worse for wear anyways. Looking at getting Yokohama ADVAN ADO8Rs for track. - closest to semi slicks in a 19
  13. Next roll race is next Friday (24/11) at Easter Creek Ill try record in cabin - but the cold starts are either too loud or too bassy for my iphone to pick up properly. it sounds magical!!
  14. OKAY - so here we go....... Picked up the car from Lexus Chatswood yesterday morning. What can i say - its such a pleasure dealing with them. Nothing is ever to big of a problem and they are super pedantic with all jobs. Chris - you are a god send! Im a Lexus of Chatswood man for life and its only because of him. YES you pay a little more for the dealership, but the expertise and the peace of mind that comes along with it is defiently worth it. Not doing things twice is another big advantage. Dealing with RR Racing was great as well - 19 days i think, from order placed to being delviered. since i bought it as a package, the price was pretty cheap as well. Dropped off all parts on Monday morning at Lexus. Was told that it would be completed by Wednesday morning at the latest. It was in fact finished on Tuesday but couldnt pick it up. This is what the new set up looks like As you can see i went with the full performance package and upgraded to the A/O seperator and the carbon intake elbow as well. The great thing with both is that eliminates only oil going back through the throttle body - youll note that the carbon elbow doesnt have the 'breathers' that feed gases from the cam cover back to the throttle body and back into the engine - this is all re-routed to the KN breather that vents to atmosphere (Sits nicely behind the engine cover). See images below A/O Seperator I already had an AFe drop in filter and the HPS intake so i was dubious as to whether i needed to upgrade it. Apparently by going with their set up it allows the performace package to get another 15rwhp as the standard intake became restrictive @ 410whp and once changed over got up to 425whp. This is with an enclosed intake, wrapped in gold to deflect heat/heatsoak, cone K&N velocity stacked filter and an enlarged MAF tube diameter (from 80mm to 87mm) See image beow How it drives - Ive had headers before. I had them with a Borla exhaust. Then I had them with the stock exhaust. I then went back to complete stock. So i have driven a fair few set ups. This thing is insane!!!! It feels like sports mode all the time. The sucking sound from the intake is worth the price of admission even if there wasnt any power gain. Its much more linear in power delivery. it tends to rev MUCH freer. im lighting up the tyres on every pull - even from second. Everyone looks at the lights. If you turn the headlights or air con on it ups the idle revs by 200rpm, but this is enough to give it a deep burble - like WTF??!! With them off, it sounds much more sedate. Cruising on freeway it really isnt that much louder. But as soon as you put your foot down, you can feel/hear the beast within. The install went through without a hitch due to trusted partners. For the few extra $$ - dont compromise on quality. The upload of the tune was very straight forward. Would i do it again - IN A HEARTBEAT!!! it feels like a completely new car. i smile EVERY time i drive it. and its only getting faster as the computer learns more. Next stop is roll racing next friday - should surprise a few people. Then in another week - ill get it re-dynoed. Happy to answer any questions you may have. Be sure to check back on periodic updates.
  15. Guys we have to leave emotion at the door and consider all the additional costs/potential pitfalls: * tuning. There will most probably have to be an AM computer involved. Remember how hard it was to crack our ECU and that RRRacing were one of the only ones to do it - this component alone is approx $2500 * I’m hearing $16k from one person and $20k from another - with initial builds the budget and timeline will blow out!! Also chance for the builder to get half way through and say “it’s the first one, I thought we could, but it can’t be done” .... but I still need to be paid for all my R&D and time spent on the tools *does this account for oil coolers, transmission coolers etc? These all add up *our engines couldn’t handle much more boost as we run such high compresssion * I’d rather give my car to someone that’s already put in the time for R&D themselves, not where I’ll be paying for it. Remember labor is around $120-$160 per hour... you do the math. There will be a lot of fab work needed. dont want to burst anyone’s bubble, just trying to be realistic. Feel free to challenge me on any of the above , I’ll be happily proven wrong 😊
  16. Hey mate, picked her up yesterday. All I can say is wow!!!! i will be providing a full write up this afternoon with a picture or two 😉 will also see if my *BLEEP*ty phone picks up the cold start as it doesn’t seem to pick up Bassy noises.
  17. headers were completed and ready for shipping at the end of sept/beginning of Oct. Id like to know the status and why the massive delay - im not even part of the group buy but a little transparency woud be great. I went direct, being installed as we speak and pricing wasnt too different. Im sure there is a good and honest explaination, i guess peoples frustrations are just from the lack of communication/updates
  18. Yeah would have been good in hind sight. Finally found someone that would take a booking so I could dyno in and out in 1hour. Others wanted me to leave the car all day and they would ‘get to it when they got to it’ would have been good to compare the two cars. End of the day it’s all about the increase not the final figure. That can easily be manipulated. We will be driving 500hp (at the fly) ISFs - one of the only ones in the country with that power!!
  19. Current intake set up - don’t really feel it, but sound is sweet!! I haven’t really asked them but I don’t see why you would? But to do the RR racing tuned intake you need buy their tune as well as it has a larger MAF .
  20. I believe the group buy is going through a different supplier. I went through RR Racing- they do some serious volume through PPE so they have a standing order so would get priority. dannny is very trust worthy. But yes it is a little longer than expected. Soon you’ll have the great power benefits and the wait will seem worth it!
  21. My prediction is between 400-410whp, which is 10-15 below what the US guys are getting. Still that’s a good 20% over stock. install delayed till next Monday. More updates by mid next week !
  22. I’m getting between 14.6-15.6 - mostly Sydney driving.
  23. So as some of you may know I was talking of putting up a full build thread for my RRRacing performance package. This will be periodically updated as things go on. Feel free to ask any questions and I’ll endeavour to answer them as soon as possible. Car currently has xforce exhaust, HPS intake and AFe drop in filter. I will be making the following mods next week: *PPE headers *full tuned intake (larger MAF) K&N cone filter *carbon intake elbow *rrracing tune *a/o separator All ordered from RRacing. Time from placing order to delivery 📦 - 17 days - can’t beat that time!!! I then got headers specially ceramic coated here. Baseline- see video below. 339whp and 447nm torque. Hoping to crack 400hp - we all know that the US guys have happy dynos . So it’s more of a measure of how much I gain as opposed to what the final figure is. Update to come next week when installed and new dyno clip the week or so after!
  24. Someone should snap this up quick smart!!!
  25. That top image mate!!! Love the water background!
