  1. Despite what some may say the USB in the centre console wont run off a HDD. Get the biggest USB flash or a 160gb iPod.
  2. No HDD Sat Nav yet, it's still DVD ROM. The 2011 spec IS-F has some other great additions though. The DRL's give it a more aggressive look. The big tacho dash looks more performance oriented, especially the 3 stage shift light. The sports button being moved to the steering wheel puts switching modes at the tip of your thumb. The suspension has been tweaked but unless you drove the MY10 & MY11 back to back you may not pick the difference. I also like the darker carbon fibre in the MY11. The wait for a 2011 plated car would've be too much to handle for me if I was in your shoes. You're going to love it, congrats.
  3. It sounds funny but at 110kmh a quicker & brighter stop light can make several metres difference to the stopping distance. It's a fact. It's not just the speed of the LEDs but also the extra brightness. The brighter the light the more the driver behind will react to it. At 120kmh you cover about 33 metres every second so even split seconds make a difference.
  4. Great meet guys..sorry I was so late. ilv1004s thanks for organising, your wheels look even better than in photos. Also enjoyed hearing you bouncing other peoples cars off the rev limiter whilst filming your short film, could be the next Tropfest winner. Lexus Nerd(LN) thanks for taking photos. LEX51S you car is sooooo diferent to last time I looked at it, even sounds different(italian?). Thanks for the drinks too. Terrrrrrrrrrrrrry, love the black wheels. Everyone else great to see you there. Lastly, I have heard that the company that prints the "Where's Wally" game are changing it to "Where's ProjectIS"? :) Looking forward to the next meet. Cheers dis-lex-sic
  5. Yep power is great ilv1004s. I love the brakes most....for me that is the best improvement over the 250. Best of all the car still has the characteristics of the 250. LEX51S didn't say much about his first drive of the 3fiddy.....but he did have a grin from ear to ear. Lexus Nerd great photos...well put together.
  6. OK I've had a good drive...a really good drive. Photos from my drive Eeny meeny miny mo......IS-F IS350 IS250..all to drive & compare. Ready to launch Good roads for a test F-Sport is hot I'll put some more words to these when I get a bit more time. Someone on here was clever & will be on the road in their 350 soon..And I don't mean me??? Also LEX51S did you get any good photos to put up in the motorshow thread.....surely with a great camera you got some great shots.
  7. LFA has carbon details that photos don't show...but it still looks good Can't wait to drive a 350 CT200h F-Sport....this car looks better in the flesh and will be popular. Now for non Lexus Toyota funked it up with a dropped RAV4 New Toyota rear drive sports car looks promising Peugeot LeMans racer Porsche race car with lights & number plates...can't road legal...can it? Orange C63 named Jaffa...like the chocolate
  8. $64,800 plus orc includes EMV(nav).........WOOOO HOOOO IS250 with EMV is $65k'ish rrp on road. The IS350 has EMV standard at $71k'ish rrp on road. Its 5 & a bit thousand extra for the IS350..................
  9. I also noted the stupid NAV warning screen now self destructs by itself - don't have to press "I accept." Another victory over the "do gooders" A victory over the lawyers more than the "do gooders".
  10. Do Lexus think "we're" stupid??? Us?.... no...... You?...maybe LOL
  11. As tomorrow is the first day we can see the new IS350 at the Sydney motorshow I thought it deserved its own thread. 234kw..... I think the pricing will be pleasantly surprising. I'm guessing we can expect it to start somewhere in the mid $60k(plus orc) bracket for the prestige. Which should put on road in the $70-75k price range. The F-sport is the pick for me. Its closest competitor is the BMW 335i. It has less power(223kw) and for more dollars $110,800.
  12. Think it is more than just firmware....probably differences in the switch gear in the trans

  14. Just looking at a new MY11 IS-F and the darker headlights look mean. Other things that I really like the dash...very good.... and the new darker carbon fibre on the centre console looks better in real life.
  15. Singapore...............WOW talk about action packed. And Lewis now 2 DNF's in a row. Ferrari definitely back in a big way on two very different tracks. Looks like a great end to the season ahead of us.
